Thank God for MetLife
We've had 2 claims this year for our fur baby and both were for surgeries with significant costs incurred. Having the insurance helped greatly in covering those costs and we cannot recommend MetLife highly enough. The claims were handled promptly and efficiently and the process stress free. Thoroughly pleased
Our fur baby needed knee surgery and our local vet referred us to MedVet of Northern Virginia in Manassas - the best referral we've ever received. The surgery was a success, our girl is recovering extremely well and we continue to be amazed at the level of care and involvement exhibited by the entire staff to us. The true testament to the treatment and service comes from Lilliah herself - she hates going to the vet. And I mean HATES, as in crying and full blown temper tantrums. Except for MedVet. She goes in with tail wagging and just about stands on her head to get Dr. Coisman's attention the entire time he's performing the follow-up exams and taking to us about her progress. Her behavior alone is the greatest referral. Thank you MedVet!

Why are they raising rates 50%?

Efficient
I called and used the app. My claim was processed efficiently and Met Life communicated via email and I was easily able to see my claim status in the app. When I called the customer service rep was friendly, professional and helpful. Can’t ask for more than that

No Integrity
I filed a claim before my dog's illness benefits began. Then, I filed three different claims after the illness benefits began and Pets Best denied all four claims stating that it was a pre-existing condition even though his medical records from the veterinarian showed a different diagnosis for the three claims made after the benefits began.

Nationwide Exorbitant Premiums
Their pet policy premiums I have gotten so expensive. I’ve had some almost double year over year.

I couldn't ask for better!
They have been very informative and quick to answer questions or concerns. Their processing time is surprisingly quick. After a major procedure for my cat, they even contacted me to see how she was doing. As far as rates, I did a lot of research before deciding to go with them years ago and they remain the best price for what you get in my opinion.

came back not able to walk
STAY AWAY. my dog came back from being in boarding for 4 days NOT BEING ABLE TO WALK. Jack and the veterinarian were horrible. they want to charge me full service for an xray. they "called" me one time a few hours before pickup one time but told me NOTHING when i came and got her. she went there full of energy and came back lethargic and lame. charges are filed.

Fast and Easy !
My poor kitty had vomiting and dehydrated and was seen in the emergency room. My claim was quickly and easily filed and reimbursed. I almost didn't believe how easy it was! No catch or small print to get out of paying the claim. I even signed up my second cat for a policy too because it was so easy and reasonable. Thank you!

MetPet insurance is very good but pricey only because I have full reimbursement. My only complaint is that is went from about $67 to $92. Maybe the more costly the plan, the better the service who knows but I have never had an issue when submitting my claims or getting reimbursed. I submit and get my reimbursement in about 5 days. They never asked me for paperwork from the previous vet. I have had this MetPet for almost 2 years. My dog goes about two to three times a year depending and I have never had an issue. I get reimbursed for his flea and tick medicine and also the medication for heart worms. MetPet offers a lot of additional benefits. Good but pricey….think I will keep it for a while longer. I am a satisfied customer. Thanks MetPet.
