I recommend Pets Best
I have had Pets Best for my dog for about 6 years. As he gets older, the number of claims I have filed for him has gone up, but Pets Best has always been great. I compare pet insurance to human insurance and, honestly, I wish I could have pet insurance for myself. Claim filing is super easy, claims are processed relatively quickly (2-4 weeks typically, which is incredible for insurance). They have never rejected a claim either - if the condition/medication is covered, I get reimbursed. No fuss. The only thing I have ever been irritated by is the time for the reimbursed money to be deposited into my account - it has taken anywhere from 1-3 weeks. Not sure if that's Pets Best or my bank, but it could definitely be faster. Overall though, I really have no complaints. I will be sticking with Pets Best for future pets.

Best Best is quick and easy to understand and gives peace of mind.
Our poor kitten had a sudden and scary abscess show up in her leg and we had to rush her to the emergency vet. We felt relieved to have the insurance as these visits can be quite costly. Once we were home again with our cat, we were able to easily submit the claim via the app and I just periodically checked the claim status and was reimbursed not long after submitting. Our kitty is feeling better and we were able to get reimbursed, it was a good experience overall.

Save your money
Our experience with Pets Best Pet Insurance was deeply disappointing and a complete waste of money. Had we simply put the money we paid in premiums into a savings account, we could have covered our pet's entire procedure out of pocket and still come out ahead. Instead, we found ourselves paying for the insurance, paying for the procedure out of pocket, and then receiving only about 33% of the costs back. This was utterly disheartening.
The high deductibles, numerous exclusions, and unexpected co-pays contributed to an overall poor experience. In hindsight, we would have spent a third of what we did over the past year by simply saving the money we paid to the insurance company. Pets Best Pet Insurance fell far short of our expectations, and we cannot recommend their services.

Great Coverage
I love MetLife's Pet Insurance! They are always super helpful when I have questions or concerns about my policy. The app is pretty easy to navigate, and sumbitting claims on the app is pretty easy too!

Trupanion provides EXCEPTIONAL payment and service
I have covered Tucker with Trupanion since he was less than six months old. This has been a true partnership with Trupanion always providing exceptional service - great electronic claim processing, fantastic information on the status of my claim, excellent payment, and thorough information on what payment was made and denied. I provide complete information on the claim to expedite processing. Based on my policy, there has always been excellent justification for all their decisions.
As an example of their service, Tucker was seen at APEX Animal Hospital yesterday morning, and I submitted the electronic claim late last night. Early this morning, I received an email from Trupanion that my claim had been approved, providing an easily understandable Explanation of Benefits and notification that my payment was deposited. Wow! One cannot get better service! While I always received prompt service from Trupanion, this is a new record. Trupanion doesn't always process claims this quickly, but they are always very prompt.
I am exceedingly happy with Trupanion's payment plan options, customer-friendly service, prompt and understandable payment, and overall demeanor. I would highly recommend Trupanion.
