Met Llife for Pets
I have been pleased with Met Life for healthy visits as well as sick visits. A few claims took a while to pay, but came through in the end. I am so used to now having insurance for past pets that this has been very helpful in cutting costs of vet care!

Excellent Insurance Company and Policy
I am so glad to have signed up for ASPCA. It is so much like having health insurance for yourself, you can pick your deductible and reimbursement percentage and they have preventative options too. We originally had preventative but realized we didn’t use it much so we removed it and the process was easy, I also have the option to add it back on my renewal date if I choose to. The insurance is for accident/injury or illness, for the unexpected. There are a few things not covered like a torn ACL or pre-existing conditions, but for what I’ve needed it for it has been a huge blessing. My dog Willow has had a few smaller claims and one larger one. They all were approved as well as any estimates I submitted beforehand. I like the estimate feature as it can show you exactly what you would be covered for before a procedure was done in a non-emergency situation. I have used the estimate feature with more optional procedures and I ended up not needing those procedures (one was an endoscopy and the other was for gingivitis). We were able to use alternative medications like acupuncture that ASPCA covered and Willow was healed! She recently had sprained her front paw and was limping, we had already paid her deductible from another visit this year about gingivitis and the claim was paid quickly and accurately according to my plan of 90% reimbursement. I highly recommend the lower deductible and higher percentage return.
I noticed some reviews stating their claims getting denied, I have had that happen but it was because I was either missing required information (like vet records) or because I had submitted an estimate shortly before the claim and some of the services overlapped the two making it seem like a duplicate. I easily corrected that by submitting the right documentation and/or resubmitting the claim with a clearer explanation. I have never had any issues with claims or payments. This is a company I will be using for a lifetime. They also offer discounts to members of certain groups like NSCS.
We love ASPCA!

Worse than messy poop!
This is the slowest, poorly organized company EVER! They have a wonderfully easy claim service followed by PITIFUL WAIT TIME! A month to process claims? Find another company!

If only human health insurance worked this well
I have been with Healthy Paws for 7+ years, and any time I have filed a claim, it has been handled efficiently and accurately. I just files two claims about 2 weeks apart, one large one for an emergency surgery. In both cases I received my EOB in 2 days after submitting the claim and the reimbursement in 1 week after filing. I wish human health insurance operated as well. It really was a weight off my mind during a stressful situation with my pet.

Loses vet records and requires multiple enrollment evaluations
I’ve made one reimbursed claim in the 5ish years that I’ve had Healthy Paws. They gave me the absolute hardest time saying they never received any records for my dog from her vet, but they had been sent multiple times from the vet with fax receipts. It finally got resolved after many months and headaches. Fast forward to my second claim most recently, they tried to claim my dog needed a whole new enrollment evaluation (won’t provide a reason why) and did not have her vet records yet again (they won’t answer my question as to how they had it for the previous claim but not for this one). They won’t process the claim. My dog is 5 years older than she was when she first started on the insurance and they can now claim that she has changed in health. And their premium keeps increasing - so I’m paying $15 more a month and they’re losing my dog’s records. Feels like they’ll do anything to take your money but never reimburse you for claims within your policy. Definitely do not recommend.

Did not disappoint
Our baby girls leg accidentally slipped into a storm drain and fractured 2 bones. We had to go to the emergency vet and let’s just say it’s beyond costly. I was pleasantly surprised when I submitted the initial bill for nearly $1500 to find almost $1100 back in my pocket within 7-10 days. I’ve submitted 2 more bills $150 each and was reimbursed $118 each one week later!!! I’d never be without their insurance…. Thanks ASPCA!

Never again
March 2023. Spent 3 hours on phone with customer service to determine if this company was good for my pet. Went with them only to discover they promised the world and delivered an island when it came to paying on policies. May 2023 pet died due to cancer. Reason for non-payment was pet had "pre-existing condition" but never said what it was. Can't by law deny claim without listing condition. Refused to pay claim of over $900. That was for my pet who passed.
Enrolled new pet in June 2023 - cat, 2 years, while waiting for payment from deceased kitty's visit to emergency hospital to find out what was wrong. On new pet they have decided not to cover his special food because of another "pre-existing" condition. How could I know of a pre-existing if I just got the kitty and issue didn't develop immediately?
Last straw was they refused his dental cleaning expenses because according to them, "He had SOME tartar." If he is free from tartar for a year, they claim they will pay. When is a human or pet ever FREE from SOME tartar. Stay away. Just a scam! It was a vet who discovered their sneaky way of getting around paying claims.

Efficient and helpful!
Lemonade has made claims for my Lexi simple and easy. I had my funds in less than 48 hours with no hassle. Easy to upload and someone there on the chat if need assistance. This is one of the best things I’ve done as a pet owner, to get Lexi and my bank account the coverage they need!

Fetch by the Dodo
I have had the Fetch insurance on my German Shepherd Dog since he was 3 months old Insurance is expensive but is well worth having
My dog had surgery and ended up with an infection and Fetch paid a considerable amount of the bill which was $2,000.00.

Renae - We're sorry your pet wasn't feeling well. As per the policy we do require medical records for all enrolled pets in order to process claims. Once full records are received we will keep them on file for future claims processing. We appreciate your efforts in providing those records, but we are still missing some needed information. Our team has reached out to your veterinarians to get those records. Once received we can continue to process your claims.
