Great Service, Quick Claim Reimbursement With Healthypaws
Dog had 2 TPLO surgeries in 2 years. Healthy Paws was excellent. Claims and reimbursement were processed quickly. Surgery, meds, rehab and even acupuncture was covered. And they emailed me to see how our dog was doing. They also have a foundation that provides grants to rescue organizations.

what is Medical Records Summary?
my major claim was paid very fast however 2 other claims relating to the same surgery (1 for pre-surgery bloodwork and 1 for pain management) haven't been paid. I have been told they were waiting for records from a hospital Rose hasn't been to in over a year and from her primary vet dating back to 2020. These are all records you should have since the were requested for her surgery claim. I was told the same person is working on these 2 and the others were handled by someone else. I think it is odd that a $3800 claim is paid in days yet ones for $300 and the other for $175 submitted within a day of each other are requiring so much information.

Unsophisticated ecommerce and no technical support
I was unable to file a claim on the iPhone app. It is very difficult to find a support contact, and I found only phone support. No email, no chat, Further, the support is for coverage and filing issues. It is not technical support. It is no surprise that the agent was unable to offer any assistance. The only help offered was a physical address to submit claims by postal mail. Though not suggested or offered, It turned out that the website worked fine. Maybe there are better providers, but Pet's Best seems to lack polish and a grasp of modern commerce.
20 years ago I considered insurance for a new puppy. Because so many conditions were not covered, I chose not to buy. Twenty years later, the industry appeared top have matured a bit. I now question that. With a new puppy, I purchased from Pet's Best. On my first claim I was denied. I thought I'd bought wellness coverage, but I did not. My second claim, for a medical condition, was also denied. Apparently I sought reimbursement for what Pet's Best considers a pre-existing condition. If this develops into a chronic condition, I suspect I'll never see reimbursement.
