Making the claims process too simple
You guys! You are fantastic! Making a claim is so easy. You just have to answer a few, simple questions, attach the invoices and submit. I hear immediately back that you've received my request and within a few days you’ve already reviewed the request and processed everything. And a few days after that, the money is in my account. I never have to worry once I’ve sent in my info and it takes less than five minutes! You guys make my life so much easier, especially when I’d rather be spending my time with my dog. Thank you for taking the hassle out of making a claim.

Does not pay as stated for Genetic issue
My pup had a genetic issue with medial Luxating Patella in both legs. It was mentioned in one or two Vet appointments early in my pets life. The Vet assured me that surgery was not required at those meetings. I decided to get Pet insurance after a year or so later. Four years later the Vet determined that the luxation was getting to the point that surgery was the best option because the patella was not easily moved back into place. I submitted a pre-surgery estimate only to have the Trupanion decide it was a pre existing condition and denied the claim I personally don’t agree with the decision. Even though it was denied by Trupanion, my pet had his surgery and is doing much better.

Thank you for my extra time with Lochlan
I was quite late filing a claim for one of my dogs, who I lost to cancer. Thanks to Trupanion I was able to get him radiation treatment, which gave me almost another year of good quality life with him.
I was grieving, then I moved, then I moved again, and lost the paperwork along the way. I had given up on finishing this claim, when I finally ran across the paperwork again and submitted it. Trupanion came through, and paid for the applicable portions in less than 10 days. Please insure your dogs.You just never know when you will have a health condition or an accident arise that you just can’t afford to pay out-of-pocket without reimbursement. A Trupanion policy gives you options you might not otherwise have. I still treasure those last months with him.
