THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
Thank you so much for covering Cherish's I-131 treatment for hyperthyroidism. We go for her first round of follow up bloodwork next week but she seems to be doing fantastic. I'm so happy she was able to get this done because she is my child and I love her so much. I didn't want her to be on pills for the rest of her life, not to mention the other possible issues that come with hyperthyroidism. The shot is really expensive so I cried when I saw you guys covered the entire amount. THANK YOU SO MUCH, YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST!!!!!

Claim processing
I submitted 3 claims; one was for script refills, one for a check regarding her eyelid and the third for the surgery. I submitted each claim at separate times over a period of 3-4 weeks. There was a delay in receiving reimbursement for the first claim, but all 3 payments were released that the same time and the last which was the largest amount, was processed the quickest.

Excellent care excellent coverage !!
Everything at the vet went well and everything from the insurance side went well. I’m so happy and satisfied with Nationwide. They give me peace of mind that my animals will be taken care. I don’t need to worry about the expense of vet care. So relieved !!

Great in theory, difficult and timely in practice.
The process and formality of pre existing conditions is arbitrary and subjective from the start. My dog was treated for POSSIBLE UTI when we first got her. She was not tested or diagnosed, but this caused her to have a generic pre existing condition that is determined to be valid at any possible time whether even if our veterinarian directly contradicts the insurance company. Then disputing the claim falls on deaf ears too. On claims that are covered, the insurance works as it should but it does take nearly 30 days every time before you get reimbursed.
