As with any company, the larger it becomes, the slower it becomes. When I would previously file a claim (i've been a customer for seven years) I would have my money in a week and a half, and that was when I was receiving paper checks. Now I am signed up for electronic payments, but it's taking almost the full thirty days to be processed. Given that amount and volume of my claims, that creates a real hardship for me, especially as I am unemployed. Having said that, the people are really friendly and helpful. I've been trying to get my dogs to have the same coverage, and I keep missing the deadline, but everyone is really kind and helpful in answering all my questions. Sames goes for explaining the reimbursement of my claims. i always have a million and one questions, and i've never had someone who wasn't well informed about the processes and able to explain them to me!! Please just process the claim quicker!!

I changed to Trupanion about a year ago when my other pet insurance company had a change in underwriters which changed my policy and pricing. When my dog suddenly had a rapid onset cataract I was regretting changing because I was worried Trupanion would claim it was a pre-existing condition. Fortunately, my dog had a complete physical at the time I signed up with Trupanion to document his current health including an eye exam documenting he did not have cataracts at that time. I was very happy with Trupanion's customer service and timely payment of my claim. The one note I would make is that Trupanion does not cover exam fees. They clearly state that in their policy. My dog had the initial exam that diagnosed his eye problem and I knew that would not be covered. On the vet's surgery bill, the vet detailed a large amount to "exam". This amount also was not covered even though the exam was part of the surgery process. This is just something to note when comparing plans. I would recommend Trupanion.

Every area from filling out the claim to the final payment was handled very professionally and efficiently. I would recommend Nationwide to any pet owner.

Truly an awesome company. I researched for a good 2 months, I am so glad I chose Trupanion. There is no need to look any further if you are considering or overwhelmed by researching. This company has been nothing but honest and caring. I can't say enough really, it does seem over the top. But it is all true and my beautiful goldendoodle are healthy and safe because of Trupanion.

My experience with Healthy Paws has been phenomenal since day one. My two dogs are covered and both have had major surgery which were covered by Healthy Paws. Their claim process is swift, easy and they respond quickly when more documentation is needed. My claims are made via direct deposit into my bank account. They have even sent me emails asking how my babies were doing after their surgeries. I recommend Healthy Paws to all pet parents.

My two dogs were trapped in my house during a house fire. Sadly we lost one and the other was taken immediately to an emergency vet. After I called Embrace to tell them about our Rapunzel, they lit a candle in her honor and sent us a handwritten card expressing their sympathies for her loss.
