Rates will rise
Beware, your rates will increase. After 1 year (with a 1y/o dog and a 4y/o cat) Embrace increased my premiums by 31%. Why, because the actuarial studies indicated a rate increase was needed for my state...etc. I have never filed a claim either. And I was told that the rates would continue to increase, definitely by the time the pets turned 5y/o and continue to rise. This rate increase practice was NOT transparent. I will put money in a savings account instead. Pet insurance with this company is not worth it.

Smooth process
Easy and straightforward process and to get the medical expenses reimbursed. Did NOT experience any delays or attempts to deny us the funds.

Overall this seems to work for us!
We are new pet owners and thought pet insurance would be a smart investment. Our veterinary suggested Nationwide and so far all has been extremely well. We secured insurance for our addition to the family that worked for us! Great job so far!!!

Not worth the premiums
Paying alot of money on premiums and every claim except one there has been an excuse not to pay.

Embrace Came Through During Cancer Scare
Embrace precertified a biopsy ASAP. In the midst of bad news, Embrace did the work to cover x-rays and ultrasound for an emergency within 1 business day. And stopped me from worrying about cover when I'm worry about whether my dog has bone cancer or not. This is why I have insurance and Embrace came through for me.

pet insurance made even easier by submitting through VitusVet
Since signing up for Nationwide Pet Insurance for our 2 Scottish terriers, we have been pleased with the level of coverage and simplicity of submitting claims. Now with VitusVet, it is even easier. Our dogs are well cared for, seeing the vet annually. There is always some issue between visits, and the coverage is well worth the price.
