I sent an email requesting clarification on a partial payment of a claim. I got no response at all.

I called and was answered right away they then called the vet themselves to request the invoice and within a day I was approved

We've had Healthy Paws policies for our pets for 6 years now, and we are very happy with the level of service they have provided us over the years. When adding a pet, they are very thorough, but it's necessary and has the added bonus of making sure we have records of our pet's histories, which we like to keep track of anyway. The younger the pet, the easier it is to enroll! Once enrolled, though, upkeep is very simple. I just take pictures of all my pet's invoices/labs and submit a claim on my phone, no writeup required. We recently experienced our first incident where we went beyond our deductible due to our cat being hospitalized for a week. Luckily, he came out of it like a champ. Since they had all my records already, it was simply a matter of submitting the new invoice/lab pictures. Within 2 days, all of my claims had been approved without question or hassle, and I received the check in the mail within the week. They even cover medications, which he now has to be on, which is a huge help. They also followed up with an email to see how our boy was doing. The customer service is definitely awesome! One last note: When one of our dogs passed away, we had to remove her from our insurance. Shortly thereafter, we received a handwritten letter in the mail signed by many folks to offer their condolences, which was incredibly sweet during such a rough time.

I don’t know how we would’ve gotten through without Trupanion

I will never have another pet without insurance from Trupanion. Easy to file claims and good communication.

Very user-friendly

I would recommend it to anyone who has a dog! It has been so helpful in covering the diagnostic tests for my dog that I didn’t know I would need. The process for submitting the claim documents is fast and easy to use.
