Sibling Scuffle
We have 3 dogs, and usually they get along well. This time it didn't go so well. Riki was able to pull a bag of tortilla chips off the counter (people food!). His dog brother, Raki, probably told him that was not a good idea, and tried to stop him from eating it. When I found the two of them, they were growling and snarling at each other, and I had a hard time pulling them apart. Raki got injured more (puncture wounds and surface cuts on his ears & mouth), but not requiring stitches. They were too busy fighting and didn't get to eat anything. He did keep Riki from eating the chips!! (yay! he did his job).
I was able to get a full reimbursement for his doctor visit, and antibiotics, and the check came quickly
Raki has healed well, and the dog brothers act like nothing ever happened.

Failure to be honest and pay what you owe!
Not paying claim in a timely fashion and denying ear infection meds as a pre existing condition. Like saying tou had the flu before so we will not help with that.

Live that they don't exclude dogs because of possible congenital issues; impressively good at processing claims

Best purchase I've ever made
Once again, Embrace pet insurance has helped me take care of my rescue dog the way she was always meant to be cared for. My girl and I have faced a lot together in the time that she's given me—a splenectomy, IBS, arthritis in her spine, congestive heart failure, and now a mass removal on a dog with advanced heart disease... and a whole bunch of meds she will need indefinitely to continue treating it all. Though I've had to make a lot of nail-biting decisions with her doctors regarding how to proceed treating my girl, I have never worried about whether or not I could afford any of it. Embrace is worth every penny I have spent, their paperwork process is easy and quick, and their customer service has always been so helpful. I have all three of my pets covered with Embrace, and thank goodness my other two pets haven't needed to use their injury/illness coverage, but I love knowing it's there if they need it. I tell every pet owner or soon-to-be pet owner I know about it.

Great experience with PPU just 2 weeks post my dogs knee surgery.

Healthy Paws has been a lifesaver for my dog
Signing up for Healthy Paws was the best decision I have ever made for my dog. We signed up for insurance years ago, before she was diagnosed with severe osteoarthritis. Since then, they have not only covered years of natural treatments (laser therapy, acupuncture, chiropractic, hydrotherapy), but they have also covered her total hip replacement in full. I’ll be getting reimbursed for 90% of the cost of the procedure, which is the reimbursement level I chose upon enrollment. I would have had a very difficult time affording all of the care she’s received without them.
They’ve also covered the occasional stomach virus, tick-borne illness, etc. as well as diagnostic bloodwork when needed. I will say, getting coverage for diagnostic bloodwork can be a little more work, as you do need your vet’s notes to prove that it’s diagnostic, as opposed to routine. I wouldn’t say that it’s difficult at all, just a few phone calls and you’re good.
I really cannot recommend Healthy Paws highly enough. The claims process is not difficult or stressful in any way, even for the large surgical claim we just made. The app allows you to do it all on your smart phone. Healthy Paws has truly been a lifesaver for us.

Great service
We've only had them about a year but I'm pleased with their service so far. The only complaint would be that it took a few months for them to process our claims (longer than expected), but we did eventually get reimbursed for everything, and actually more that we didn't expect, which was a nice surprise.
