My dog is a rescue that we adopted at 8 weeks old. We got pet insurance for her at the suggestion of our vet and they highly recommended Figo. The claims processing time used to be weeks, now it's a matter of just days! and very easy to submit. Very happy with this company. With my doggie's recurrent UTI's, it helps to get some money back with our frequent vet visits.

My Anya was diagnosed with gastric adenocarcinoma (stomach cancer) at age 5. Just the surgery and stay itself was almost $9,000 ... not to mention monthly ultrasounds, an autologous cancer vaccine, meds, and soon chemo. I don't know how we would have afforded this without insurance. We would have (credit cards), but it would have been disastrous to our finances. As a result of knowing things were covered, we were able to explore our treatment options; we were also able to get additional opinions from the VCC in CT and also the VCA in Cleveland. As a result, she's still here, active, and doing well 6 months after symptoms began -- almost unheard of in this cancer. I only wish there was an option for a larger annual cap -- I would totally pay for that for all of my animals. Once cancer hits, $10,000 doesn't always go far if surgery is involved. But boy, did that $10K help. Get insurance, get the maximum annual cap you can ... it's affordable and absolutely worth the money.

Two follow up emails after each claim; a follow up phone call. Very prompt claim reimbursement. Pleasant and friendly representatives to answer any questions.

My cat has been insured with Trupanion for about 10 years. They have been great up till the last year. As my cat has aged she developed arthritis along with other treatable conditions. Last year my vet recommended cold laser treatments for the arthritis since it was less intrusive due to her other ailments. The treatments worked great and they were covered by Trupanion. Now Trupanion said they streamlined their processes and cold laser is not covered unless you pay more money for the Recovery insurance rider. Even though treating chronic arthritis is not a "recovery" item. They said they decided to jump all cold laser regardless of reason for treatment into the rider to make it easier for them. Riders are supposed to be for "additional" coverages not because Trupanion decided they don't want to cover a treatment they had been previously covering. The condition of arthritis is covered without a rider. A Trupanion rep even said the injections are covered so I could change to those. So now they are giving medical advice? Trupanion states that you have freedom of choice. But now it's at an additional cost. Also some of the reps give incorrect price quotes and aren't as friendly as they used to be. I used to recommend Trupanion to everyone. Unfortunately that is not the case anymore. What would stop them from changing more items that were previously covered and making customers pay more money for the same coverage?

We insured our Morkie from the beginning, knowing it would soften hard choices for us if she were injured or reached a ripe old age. On the advice of a mentor we chose Embrace. As many have noted, not the cheapest, but reliable and fast in repaying expenses. She was diagnosed with a rare cancer last August, and we've been able to choose some expensive but relatively pain-free interventions, giving her a good life.

My experience with Healthy Paws has been nothing short of amazing. Insurance companies are typically known for bad customer service and exploiting loopholes to not pay out claims. Well, healthy paws is nothing like that. They have pleasantly surprised me from day 1. Not only are their policies fair and affordable, they are also great at customer service. They have paid out several claims for vet emergencies, including the most recent one for an ultrasound and many tests for my dog’s stomach issues. A couple days after entering the claim and when they processed it they reached out to me to check in on my dog’s progress! Not even my medical insurance company check up on me lol. Healthy Paws reimburses me on time (fast) each time. They are definitely the company to go with for peace of mind knowing your pet will be able to get best medical service around.

I want to express my sincere gratitude to Healthy Paws Pet Insurance! I have carried this insurance since 2011, hoping I would never need it! However, my Keeshond, Riley, has recently been through cruciate ligament tears in both his back knees. His problems required several surgeries and I was distraught at seeing him in such pain. It's enough to have to deal with a loving pet experiencing pain and unhappiness, but medical expenses on top of that is extremely stressful and overwhelming! Healthy Paws was there for me, not only with relief from expenses, but email support and caring! Thanks to Healthy Paws, Riley is slowly getting back to his "puppy" personality - no running and jumping, but snuggling and sitting by me instead of by himself in a corner.
