Excellent service-paid exactly as I had contracted
I purchased Trupanion insurance on my 11 week old pomeranian at her first vet visit. I had never had pet insurance before but this sounded reasonable and what I would need insurance for at a very reasonable cost. About 18 months after purchase of insurance a heart problem was diagnosed and cost $4000. total to repair. The condition is known as "patent ductus arteriosus". If not corrected my little dog would have died in about 2 years. Regardless of whether or not I had insurance I would have had the procedure done. It was absolutely wonderful to have the insurance pay me exactly as the contract had said. I recieved about $3100. in reimbursement. My premiums were only $35. per month. It would take 6 years of paying premiums to equal that amount. A truely excellent insurance value. I will always have my pets insured. It is so worth the cost. Be sure to carefully read and understand your contract and how claims are handled. If the premium is ever to high for me I will increase my deductible. This is excellent for those times that your pet may develope a very expensive condition that has to be treated. I could have had the expenses covered under the "pre pay provision", but I did not realize that there was such an option.
I hope that we will never have to make another claim, but in the event that something does happen, it is an immense comfort to know that we are covered. I would recommend this insurance to ALL pet owners. Buy the insurance immediately as soon as you get your pet, that way you won't have any pre existing condition limitations.
I am going to tell everyone I know about this insurance and even put it on facebook. It is sooooo worth the money.
The customer service people were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They helped me every step of the way. This is an excellent and reputable company. If I could give them a rating of "1000" instead of a "10" I would. I am so very happy with this company and will always be a customer. Thank you to all of the wonderful people at Trupanion.

My Dogs best friend- Healthy Paws
I want to commend Healthy Paws staff for helping me coordinate with the hospital while my dog was being attended to after falling off a cliff. The sticker shock for taking her to the best emergency care vet was another 1-2 punch on top of the stress of dealing with her emergency. Healthy Paws staff made me feel at ease immediately. I happened to be on the phone with HP's representative while the doctor came into the room with my dogs assessment and estimate for her veterinary care through her recovery period. My jaw dropped when I heard how much it was going to cost and the HP associate immediately communicated that I should take comfort in knowing my doggy was covered for the very best care and that I should focus on my pup instead of worrying about the costs involved, I received my reimbursement check (I chose the 80% reimbursment policy) from Healthy Paws within a few days after submitting her bills.I posted her story on Facebook with a link to Healthy Paws site, and 3 people signed their dogs up that day (that's only the one's I know of, there may be more). Once my dog can return to her local dog park, you can bet we'll be telling all our dog friends about Healthy Paws. I also posted the cute get well card their staff signed and sent her. There's a good reason why Healthy Paws is the top rated pet insurer. Unless they had someone at the bottom of the cliff to catch her, there's nothing more they could have done to help. Healthy Paws is truly the best.

We love our Healthy Paws!
When I first got pet insurance for our Golden Retriever, people thought I was silly. However, after a trip to the emergency department with him and no insurance, I didn't want to risk it. We signed up when Lutsen was a year and a half old and I couldn't be happier with my decision. This past July, he was diagnosed with severe hip displasia and we were devastated. Having enrolled in Healthy Paws over 3 years ago, meant his surgery and all things involving his care would be covered based on the plan we chose. It was such a relief to know I didn't have to worry about paying out of pocket for everything which amounted to thousands! They even emailed a week after Lutsen's surgery just to see how he was doing. I was so impressed!! As for payments, I was reimbursed within a week and every single time I called their customer service department, I was well taken care of. Not only is this a fantastic company, with their prompt response to my and Lutsen's needs, but the people they hire are the nicest and the most knowledgable and well trained individuals I've ever worked with. I could go on and on about how wonderful of a decision you are making by trusting your pet's care with Healthy Paws but you most certainly should try them yourself!

Pets Best - Excellent coverage and service
My dog has had a couple bouts of intestinal problems over the past six months. I filed two claims and both were resolved extremely quickly (within a week) and both covered very high percentages of my cost - 80% in total, between both.In general, with Pets Best, the premium and co-pay are very reasonable.
I'm extremely pleased.

My dog is with me today because of pet insurance!
My pet became very ill recently and the veterinary expenses were very high and climbed quickly. He would have passed away if I would have been unable to have him hospitalized. He is only 8 (about 54 in human years - so young). We are so glad we didn't have to put him down because it was not affordable. So far his recovery has been very successful. The only regret I have is not taking out the prescription coverage. I would highly recommend pet insurance to anyone and I do!

Incredible!
Just signed up for pet insurance this year never thinking I'd need to use it so soon. My 5 y//o Golden (Mia) had a R knee injury requiring surgeryseveral months after obtaining the insurance and the bill was over $3000. Healthy Paws paid their share of the claim within a week and even emailed me after the surgery to make sure Mia was doing well. Very impressed with their service. I work in health care and wish our human coverage was just as efficient!

Most Caring Insurance For Pets and Owners
The ASPCA Pet Insurance is the most caring insurance carrier around. As an employee who works for a health insurance carrier for humans, I see first hand how most insurance companies are a business. Most insurance carriers issue EOBs and post policies on their website, but the ASPCA Pet Insurance is the only insurance carrier to call and ask how your pet is doing. They refer to your pet by their name and follow-up after their claims have been paid. It shows that they are caring and consider your pet and you as a member of their family. Why go to a business when you can go to family? At the ASPCA Pet Insurance, they are your family. Great company and phenomenal benefits.

So grateful for this pet insurance
My 3 year old rescued pitty wiped out in the garage and when we brought him into the vet, they discovered he had torn his ACL so they suggested surgery. He's our family so of course we didn't hesitate to get him on the track for the better but the thought of the cost of surgery was a little stressful. I was able to come up with the upfront money to pay for his surgery. I then sent a copy of the invoice into healthy paws. In two weeks they had processed it all and we received the reimbursement check. I honestly was so pleasantly surprised on how quickly it came. They have also been so wonderful with communicating promptly in emails with me. I feel like they are in the best interest of you furry family member and can't say enough great things! I have definitely shared with my clients how much I love this insurance.

Amazing Insurance!
Healthy Paws has had our back since Wrenley was a puppy. Their app makes claims easy and fast... All you have to do is snap a picture of the vet bill and you're done. No need to print our claim forms or have the vet sign anything. Healthy Paws takes care of it all for you. We really needed them when our 15-month old golden retriever started vomiting uncontrollably a couple weeks ago. We took her to an emergency vet facility and discovers she had an intestinal blockage. We were so worried about her, but we didn't have to worry about how we were going to pay for her care because she was insured through Healthy Paws. Wrenley is fine now, thank goodness, and we don't have to worry about paying for her treatment for months or years. Healthy Paws is peace of mind! We never have to worry about money being a factor in what treatment course to choose.
