I recently rescued and had no knowledge of her medical condition. My vet and I had to start from scratch on her health. I wanted to have her check out completely meaning all test blood uti all of it. Nationwide wanted her health records a year back I did not have them and told them that. It took awhile but they finally realized that I had none and that and realize what they had was all they had to work with. I was concern that they would not cover her because of that, but they finally came through and did pay some claims.

They are the best!
I have had pet insurance for over 20 years. I started with that Nary pet insurance which was then taken over by Nationwide pet. I find them to be excellent in their customer service and I will continue to have pet insurance on all my animals as if we go into the future.

Pretty slow
Sent a claim in mid September; just got notice mid-November of decision. I understood it would go to Deductible, but 2 months is entirely too long for processing a rather obvious claim. Prior insurance was more expensive but claim turnaround much faster.

Appreciate the coverage
My cat became sick very rapidly and died unexpectedly..no time left for extensive tx. claims were not extensive and I had no expectation of reimbursement. i submitted claims w/o really thinking about details..just grieving..all were respectful of that except the vet, but that told me all I needed to know. We have since added Buster and appreciate this coverage.
