Healthy Paws is AWESOME!

Over the past 8 years with 2 pets, we've had occasion to submit claims through Healthy Paws. We've ALWAYS found their service to be friendly, efficient, professional, and the processing of claims to be VERY timely and quick! Their personal assistance and prompt communications are a pleasure to experience. We remain VERY HAPPY with Healthy Paws and regularly refer them to friends and family!

Lemonade Is So Sweet!

Lemonade makes taking our beloved furry family members to the vet less financially stressful. The app's super easy to use, and we get reimbursed almost instantly. Now we can completely focus on our dogs' health without worrying how we will pay for their health care.

Healthy Paws - SImply fantastic

We've had Healthy Paws since we got TJ as a rescue and they've been simply fantastic. Unfortunately we've had to use their services far too often for TJ but each time their online claim service was super easy and efficient. I've set my payment option for direct deposit to my checking account and usually within three days of claim submission the payment is in my account. As with any pet insurance policy the rates do go up every year but I feel their annual monthly premium increase is quite reasonable and they never raise your rate other than the normal annual policy rate increase no matter how many claims you submit in my experience. The few times that I've needed to contact them by phone they've always been very efficient and helpful in resolving my issue. When originally shopping for pet insurance they had the best rates and coverage. They get ten stars in my opinion.

Not worth it to, take too long to process the claim

My experience with MetLife Pet Insurance has been nothing short of frustrating. First, their chat support is practically non-existent. It's rarely accessible and seems to be there more for show than actual assistance. The claim process could be faster, taking up to 21 days from the date of submission. During this time, the app needs updates on whether the claim is approved or not, leaving you in the dark. I often need to call in and check the status of updates. Some Representatives are helpful; some want to get off the call. Instead of efficient online communication, they insist on sending you an Explanation of Benefits(EOB) through the mail, which is a waste of paper and completely unnecessary. This information should be readily available on their website for easy reviews. Speaking of the website, it's far from user-friendly. Navigating through it to find essential information takes time and effort. Overall, MetLife Pet Insurance needs significant improvements in customer service, claim process efficiency, and digital communication. I would not recommend it based on my experience.

It is essential to have A good Pet Insurance like this!

Quick and Easy processing of claims- No Hustle! My only remark is that it is sometimes hard to fill up the specific 'Condition' that your Dog was treated for- since it is almost all in Professional Vet's names/codes.

Great

This insurance is great! I have both my dogs on it and they have probably saved thousands of dollars. I feel better having them knowing that I don't have to stress as much going to the vet.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY

Get a different pet insurance company. MetLife does NOT approve your claim even after soap notes from the Vet, proof, receipts, etc. MetLife collects your monthly payment without providing any services. Seriously the worst pet insurance company. You lose money here rather than getting help for your pet. Don’t waste your time here.

ASPCA insurance is great, I've been a loyal customer

ASPCA insurance has been very reliable for my girl Kali. Easy process in submitting claims and helpful friendly customer service. My pittie has been having really bad skin allergies this year but coverage has been great from ASPCA insurance. Appreciate you!

THANK YOU HEALTHY PAWS!

Words can't express how grateful I am for your kind words checking in and most importantly Phoebe's insurance policy. She is the first dog I have ever decided to "insure" and I have rarely really needed any large amount to cover expenses, but this most recent surgery maxed out my credit card and left my bank account at zero. I am fortunate enough to have a family who helped me get rent and other things covered, but I am so thankful that 80% of her surgery was covered, and most importantly to relieve stress the direct deposit went through so quickly. This allowed me to focus on her recovery and her care which is my number one priority! I would like to think that I would have gone with surgery even if I had no insurance, but I don't know how true that is. Unfortunately, one option my long time veterinarian brought up was palliative care until eventual euthanasia. For that reason, I sought a second opinion and have switched my veterinary hospital. It was so hard not to have an answer and I was honestly struggling to stay positive. Phoebe was in pain, struggled getting up from the ground, and her right rear leg could not bear much weight if any at all. She looked at me everyday like she was asking for me to help and it was heartbreaking. I felt on a daily basis that I was failing her. Through my second opinion, the options seemed more bright. We were referred to a specialist who reviewed her x-rays and came highly recommended. She relaxed in his care. I trusted him. We decided to proceed with the surgery option. It was the right choice and went great! After her surgery, the first five days were the hardest because she really didn't sleep much: 1 hour the first night, two the next, and progressively more each night. Like her sleep pattern, she has also been more and more able to walk, and bearing more weight each day on her right rear leg (the surgery knee). She will begin short walks in the neighborhood next week, which will be the first time she has left our home in over two months besides vet visits. We have a follow up appointment next Monday, but I felt you deserved a little more of an update than a short email. THANK YOU HEALTHY PAWS!

Fast, hassle free claim process

I've had to use MetLife twice since I've adopted my cat - once an ER visit and now for a swollen lymph node that turned out to be moderate / severe periodontitis (not common at this young age). She had to have multiple visits, exams, and finally a (costly) dental procedure. I sent in the claims for vet and dentist with supporting docs and they paid it right away minus deductible & coinsurance - no hassle. Much better than my health insurance, I will say! I'm very satisfied.
