My 10 month old baby Dusty had eaten a piece of toy along with a thick string and it got caught in his intestines where he had to undergo major abdominal surgery to remove it and save his life. I submitted the claim along with all the paperwork needed and within less than two weeks, my claim was approved and I’m getting my reimbursement. Healthy Paws made it painless to help with the very expensive $5600 vet bill I had to pay. I highly recommend using Healthy Paws for any pet owner.

I purchased the insurance for my 3 year old border collie Millie when she was a puppy and never had to use it until recently she was hit by a car. The surgery and care was extensive. The bill came out to around $15,000. I was skeptical that they wouldn’t actually cover it since it was so much. The process for submitting the claim was very easy and it took about a week to make a decision. Healthy Paws ended up covering 80% of the claim with no hassles! I’m very grateful for Healthy Paws because without the insurance I don’t know if it would’ve been possible for Millie to have the surgery and care she needed. The only hassle is that you have to pay the bill first and Healthy Paws will reimburse you later, in some cases that may not be possible because of the cost. Overall I’m very happy with the company and ended up purchasing another policy for my 10 month old border collie.

So grateful to have the help and support of the Healthy Paws team during a very stressful time. Everyone we’ve ever spoken with has been lovely and they even followed up to check in on our dog and see how she was feeling after her procedure. I used Healthy Paws for the last seven years with my rescue Golden, Kayley, and I found them to be a very caring and reliable company. My claims were handled quickly and when we had reached our deductible payments were also made quickly. The customer service team was always friendly and helpful. But what made the biggest impact was when Kayley became suddenly ill, they sent emails asking how she was. When she passed, I received more kind emails, plenty of support from the customer service staff and I received a card with a hand written note understanding my loss.
