Wish human health insurance was this easy!
When the vet recommended pet insurance my immediate thought was not another bill. Let me tell you, this is best thing you can do for yourself and your pet! It is a simple, yet cost effective way of managing your pets health. In the event a major illness or if an accident occurs your not left to make the difficult decision of having your animal suffer or worse yet be put down because you cannot afford the major life saving procedure(s) that makes difference of a happier outcome. You decide your deductible based on what you can afford. It is not a one size fits all situation. Claims are handled professionally and the customer service is great. You speak to a human, what a concept! We tend to forget animals age faster than we do by leaps and bounds, sign up when they are young and enjoy peace of mind.

Best insurance ever
I had ASPCA for my two cats for years. It was real B.S. You know ASPCA should shame themselves. Only cover up to $1500 for one incident/year only. I kept ASPCA feeling like my good will against my instinct. Finally I moved to Trupanion last October. Then one of my cats got kidney failure. Last October was transition time so my cat was double insured. ASPCA only paid me $1500 out of $7000 plus cost after weeks of communication. Trupanion pick up the rest. It was close to 90% of the balance. And fast. Right I submit the document from ASPCA, it only take 10 days. Trupanion I will give A. To ASPCA, I will give C.

A smart choice!
Our dog recently experience an unfortunate accident while out taking a walk. We suspected that he inhaled a foreign object or had broken off a stick in his nose. Bleeding, discomfort, and lots of unusual sneezing and nose twitching followed. Out vet upon examination recommended emergency care and possible surgery to remove the object. The cost just snowballed and quickly exceeded $3000.00 ($1500.00 for an MRI). Our experience with the Embrace claims process, was all and more than we expected when we researched and chose this insurance carrier. They were quick and efficient with good follow up.
Because of our policy with Embrace we were able to recover most of the cost incurred. We have just renewed our policy, and the low annual premium and deductible is totally worth the expense.

Completely Satisfied Olde English Bulldog, "Howie"
I encourage all pet owners to insure their beloved pets. Howie became a client at three months of age. In the first few months of his little life, he was wonderful, beautiful fur, soft, unblemished belly and loved his dog food. As he was approaching his first birthday, he broke out with pimples and sores all over his belly. To make a long story short, Howie is allergic to chicken and turkey, his thyroid level is low and he has canine alopecia. I honestly don't know how I would have survived the financial aspects of testing and treating if not for ASPCA Pet Insurance. As Howie approaches his second birthday I can say that we have his issues under control. Thank you so much ASPCA Pet Insurance. It is a great investment.

This company is a scam.
Our puppy has struggled with severe bouts of diarrhea on and off for several months. As such, we have needed to run several diagnostic tests, and considered an endoscopic procedure or a biopsy of his large intestine to find the root of the problem. However, these problems started well after the 2 week waiting period for our insurance to take effect. Unfortunately, during one of his routine vaccinations within this 2 week waiting period, our vet noted "occasional soft stool." Despite this note, no tests were run as it was not a matter of concern and a test had been done for parasites just a week prior, which had turned up negative. Embrace has not reimbursed us for ANY of our puppy's tests since his stomach problems began, stating that the "occasional soft stool" was a "pre-existing condition." Our vet was nice enough to write a letter explaining that his subsequent stomach problems were not related to the note about soft stool, however, our appeal was denied. Everyone I have dealt with at this company has been extremely unhelpful and unapologetic. They will go to great lengths to find a reason to deny a claim and I would highly recommend looking elsewhere when considering insurance for your pet.

Healthy Paws keeps my pup healthy
Getting Healthy Paws for my little girl was the best decision we ever made (next to actually adopting our goldendoodle). The claims are processed extremely fast (often times the claim is processed and/or approved the same day the vet faxes the claim over, and the check is in the mail shortly thereafter), and we have never ever had a problem with getting a reimbursement for something covered by the policy.
In fact, over the course of our first 15 months, we have more back in reimbursements than what the premiums would cost us over the next 10 years. So right there Healthy Paws has been a return on my investment, and then some. More than anything, having health insurance has given me the peace of mind to take my girl in for any medical problem (large or small) without having to worry about the vet costs.
Also, I feel like Healthy Paws as a company actually cares about my puppy. Whenever I call, a person picks up and is actually very pleasant to talk to. And when we submit claims for an illness, I get an email a few days/week later asking how my puppy is feeling. That's just great customer service!
I only wish my human health insurance was as good!!
As an FYI, my 15 month old girl is a relatively healthy goldendoodle. When she was very young, she had a sensitive tummy, and we just needed to rule out any pathogens, and more recently she suffered from a nasty UTI and struvite crystals.
