fast, straight forward, thorough

This is our 1st claim, and it was a large one. Trupanion exactly as they represented themselves, reimbursing 90% of costs after initial vet exam and deductible.We are extremely satisfied and glad after years of searching insurance policies that we chose Trupanion.

claim experience positive but slowing processing

I have been a great fan of embrace. The staff are lively, the claim process easy and transparent and I like the 80% of billed services rather than a specified coverage amount. However my experience with recent claims have been that they have been processed and reimbursed much slower than in the past. The most recent conversation I had with the staff indicated that this was because they were very busy and were training new staff but I think they should be held to a standard of a quicker response time

For once a PLEASANT surprise!

Healthy Paws is the 3rd pet insurance I have used. We used VIP which I did not like at all and I think Pet Plan. Healthy Paws is by far the best. They cover exactly what they say they are going to cover AND they are So nice and helpful. You can even get assistance via email after hours. I was so surprised at the end of the night when I sent an email wondering about a problem with my first claim that was cleared up in minutes via email and it was my misunderstanding. I received follow up emails about my pet's health and then emails explaining my reimbursement which was amazing. The monthly payment is reasonable for my $100 deductible and 90 % coverage and I can't believe how efficient and kind they are. I HIGHLY recommend Healthy Paws Insurance!!!! - and am so grateful I made the decision to use them.

10/10 Best Pet Insurance!

I cannot be more pleased! I have three dogs...two Chihuahuas and a Pit Bull insured with Healthy Paws. My oldest chihuahua is 12 years old and we never had a claim. But, unfortunately, I had three claims with my two puppies the past two years. Tiny, my 6 pound chihuahua, fell down the steps when she was 9 months old and x-rays had to be taken. Last week, she had a very high fever and had to be hospitalized for two days for hydration and antibiotics. Six month ago, my Pit Bull Daisy ate a tennis ball and we had to hospitalize her until we were sure she passed the pieces. In all three cases, Healthy Paws paid without a problem! I cannot be more pleased! They even emailed me a few days later to see how the dogs were doing. Great company with caring customer service! I recommend the company to my friends! I wish my (people)family's health insurance was so easy! We had our claim money in less than one week! Now, let's hope my younger dogs stay healthy and claim free like my older dog! TEN STARS to HEALTHY PAWS

Claim took way too long to process.

My dog's claim for dental surgery reimbursement based on her accident too over a month to process. I think that's way too long.

Embrace is horrible!!!

Claims are being denied for "wellness", when wellness is not what my dog was brought in for. She had non-wellness issues that I sought to get remedied by her vet.

Love love love

I've had Trupanion for about 5 years now and they are truly the best. Every time I submit a claim it always gets processed super fast and I get the money in no time. They were also the only pet insurance company that would even cover my senior dog. Thier rates are always affordable and their coverage is the best in the business, trust me I did my research. It's very reassuring to know that my baby boy is protected and that I'll never have to worry about his health and money. Thanks Trupanion.

slow reibursement

We have been customers of Embrace for almost 2 years. Up until September 2013 we were completely satisfied. Our claims for both Wellness and medical were processed quickly and efficiently and generally had our claim satisfied within 7-10 days. However in September of 2013 the company switched to another provider and currently we have two submitted claims one for Wellness on 9/27/13 and one for medical on 9/30/13 as of this date we still have not received our reimbursement. A policy holder should not have to wait 30 days for a claim to be processed. We have pet insurance to ease the burden of out of pocket expenses. When it takes 30 days (or more) to receive refunds it does little to ease the burden. We will be exploring other insurance providers who offer a similar plan but with expedited claim reimbursement.
