Healthy Paws is one of the best companies I have ever dealt with, much less by far hands down the best insurance company - person or pet. Healthy Paws are what I think insurance companies were originally intended for (people, place or pet). You sign up for your plan, pay your premium (hope you never have to use it) and when the time unfortunately comes and you have to use it they cover you for what was agreed upon without nitpicking every single thing looking for a way to avoid paying out. They also treat you with respect, kindness, professionalism and prompt polite service. My dog has been covered by them since about 2010 and really haven't had to use it thankfully until this summer. Oliver started limping around August and having an issue with his rear right leg. The vet thought he had a torn ACL and we started him on conservative treatment - acupuncture, Rimadyl, rest and weight loss in hopes to avoid surgery. Healthy Paws covered his vet bills according to the plan I signed up for - 80% with a $100 deductible. Unfortunately he still needed surgery so scheduled it for the end of September. The night before Oliver seemed to injure his rear left leg and could barely walk. He had the rear right leg surgery and could only wait and see on next steps for the new injury once he was healed up. For my other dogs, I had VPI, and I was constantly hunting down my claims, and explaining, over and over again, why I had filed the claim. They were a lot of work. I am so very glad that I chose Embrace for my new puppy. We purchased the Wellness package, And I'm happy we did. Embrace e-mails, and lets me know at what stage the claim is in, and if there is a problem, they actually call the vet, and rectify the issue. VPI would expect me to take care of it. I feel like Embrace is a friend.

First ever insurance claim-Julie ended up with a piece of wood that caused some problems trying to pass. Multiple visits, x rays, meds, and an overnight at the emergency vet later my bills were over $2000. Everything except the exam fee, my deductible and 20% to be paid by me according to my plan was reimbursed as soon as I got all my records in. They even sent a follow up email to see how she was doing. The only thing is they won't cover any ear infections since she had one before I signed up, which I think is kind of lame

Embrace assisted me with my dental bill for my dog, Cookie. I had a easy process of submitting my paperwork and within the required days I received my reimbursement of $400.00.

Every time we have a claim, our vet faxes in the form, and a check shows up before I even remember that I'm expecting a check. Our pup had surgery, and the process was seamless, and they even emailed just to see how he was doing, they're amazing.

I have been impressed with how responsive the staff is and how quickly they process claims.

Healthy Paws has provided us with the most incredible service and coverage I could ever imagine, and at premiums which were comparable and in most cases less than any other company we investigated. We had our 18-month old pup for only 10 months before he passed away after being diagnosed with an extremely serious case of inflammatory bowel disease. Because we didn't purchase our insurance until after he showed initial symptoms, his gastro-disease was considered pre-existing. Still - Healthy Paws did everything possible to closely review our claims and reimburse us for every eligible expense, which added up to many thousands of dollars in only a few months. When our boy died, they sent us a beautiful sympathy card. While I don't have a basis for comparison, I can't imagine any insurance company being this good. I can honestly say that for the rest of my life, I will buy Healthy Paws Insurance the first day I adopt any pet in the future. An incredible company with truly caring staff.
