Our Chessie had been having a problem with his knee for several months, and when our regular vet recommended a specialist for the surgery we did not hesitate because we felt confident we would get good coverage from our ASPCA plan and we did. Sure it would have been nice if the allowable amounts had been higher, but a good two thirds was covered with our 80 percent payout. We have filed other claims over the years including claims for well care and are happy with our benefits. Finnigan is very important to us and ASPCA has called to check on Finn and his progress following his procedure and his recovery period which is still ongoing at this point.

I reviewed a few pet insurance policies on line and asked a couple of friends who have pet insurance. I made my decision to go with Healthy Paws (I do like their name) based on their literature and speaking w/ them. So far, they have reimbursed me the 80% of everything that they say is covered so they are true to their words. They also process their claims most faster than human insurance companies. I highly recommend them to anyone with a pet.

I have been a member of ASPCA Pet Insurance for many years, but boy did I need them when we found a Mast Cell Tumor (cancer) on my sweet 11 year old black lab Alexis. We were at the vet constantly, and the bills were piling up. We were able to fax out the claim as we checked out of the vet. Then ASPCA Pet Insurance turned our claims around within 1-2 weeks. I've been using Embrace for the past few years for both of my dogs. Their review of my claims has always been prompt, communicatiion at each stage of the claim process has been clear, and payment was turned around in a very reasonable 2 weeks time. I previously used VPI, but I find the service and staff at Embrace to be more responsive and the coverage options better tailored to my needs. The staff clearly cares as that comes through in all if the communication. In this particular case, one of my dogs developed optic neuritis, which required many visits to the vet for treatments. Yes please invest in your pet on getting your pet insured by the ASPCA. They are very helpful to me with my English Cocker Spaniel whom is diagnosed with Lymphoma. It is worth it believe me the cost of Veterinarians today is over the budget. ASPCA insurance helps immensely.
