Four years ago, a little Siamese was found wandering the streets in a local Long Island community. Knowing that I was partial to Siamese, a local rescue group asked me to "foster" her. You can guess how temporary that turned out to be. A sweeter, more fearless, more cuddly little girl I had yet to find. She stepped into the very large pawprints left by the loss of my 17 year old Bluepoint Siamese. Then suddenly, tragically, she was gone, the victim of a 100% fatal illness called FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis). Although I had heard of this disease, I had never encountered it in my decades of cat ownership, believing that it was limited to hoarders, shelters or stray cat populations. I've since learned that thousands of seemingly healthy cats, some from breeders, others not, have fallen prey to this courge. In the blink of an eye, less than three weeks, the eager-eating, in-your-face, social butterfly was a ravaged shell. I helped her to cross the Rainbow Bridge a week ago. I've had pet insurance for years on all of my pets, hoping that I would never have anything catastrohic enough to use it. I would like to thank Petsbest for making reimbursement of my vet bills nearly seamless. Within a day of filing a claim, I received an acknowledgment and notification of process; within a week of filing each claim, I had a check in the mail. As much as the vet resisted accepting receiving payment directly from Trupanion through their Claims Express, the Trupanion reps made every effort to assure them they would receive payment and convinced the vet to take it and go ahead with the procedure! Thanks to Trupanion Tino is on the road to recovery!

I and my wife bought our first pet a few years ago. We never had one before and everytime she cughted or did not want to eat, we took her to the Vet. Health costs for pets, in some cases, is higher than for Humans. We knew that we had to take care of the animal we took on the responsibility for and love, so we decided to get pet insurance. We bought ASPCE Health Insurance and are very happy with it. They reimburse quickly and are fare. If, God forbid, our pet gets very ill, they will not drop her but pay up to the amount that is covered by the policy. Thank God that she is still a young and healthy dog, but when the day comes, just like Humans, she gets older and needs more medical help, we know that we will be able to afford it.

Their claims department is really friendly and fast, they process claims within 48 hours and never had a problem with them. Our vet helped us to submit the first claim as it needed a complete history and review, after that, I just send an email and that's it.Our dog has always been very healthy, but being super active and full of energy we decided to get the insurance, best decision ever.

I insured my cat last year and I am so glad I did. They have been timely on claims and very helpful. They are very upfront with what their policies cover and don't cover. A lot of people that have issues are not reading their policy very carefully. I thought my policy rates were going to increase a lot since i have used them for all my cats inhalers which are expensive and it only went up 0.63 a month so I know they don't increase your rates based on the number of claims filed. I will recommend them to everyone and I will always insure all my future pets with them.

Cayenne had a bladder infection and pre-diabetic condition due to steroids she was on for a skin problem. After several lab tests and change of meds, she is feeling better and blood sugar level is normal. Hopefully this will remain the case as she is no longer taking the Medrol and is on a lower carb diet. Insurance really helped defray the cost of all of this.

Great plan, incredible customer service. I had another company's policy with my previous dog, and it's night and day. Healthy Paws looks for ways to accommodate you, as opposed to looking for ways to deny coverage. And I literally have a check in my hand within a week of the veterinarian visit. I recommend this company to all my pet-owning friends without hesitation. Now, if they'd only offer HUMAN insurance... ;-)

We are relatively new to Healthy Paws, but already we have had a great experience! My vet recently removed a suspicious growth on my dog's ear (it was benign thankfully) and our experience afterward with Healthy Paws was fantastic. The claim submission process was easy and efficient. The company sent a personalized email to check on my dog's recovery. The reimbursement came lightning fast...I have only had experience until now with human insurance companies and expected a long, drawn out process. This was the exact opposite. I highly recommend this company without any reservations.
