Severe pancreatitis in the ER
"On a Saturday evening, my miniature bull terrier Stevie abruptly started vomiting and having diarrhea non-stop and was very seriously ill. I've never taken any of my dogs to the ER vet before but this time it was absolutely necessary. I rushed her to the closest ER where they thankfully got her back quickly and started her on pain and nausea medications and fluids while trying to diagnose what the problem was. They suspected pancreatitis or bloat with the possibility of a GI obstruction, she was very sick. Thankfully surgery was avoided and after 2 days in the hospital Stevie came home and has now made a 100% recovery but it was very scary and very serious - the vet couldn't reassure me she would be ok and make it out when they admitted her. Thankfully I didn't have to worry about finances during these worry-filled couple of days as I knew she had excellent coverage through Pets Best. They processed the claim quickly and $4900 was in my bank account a week and half later. Thank you Pets Best!! "

Pets Best Saved Thanksgiving and Christmas!
My pooch, Alvin, had been in wonderful health until a recent, rapid decline sent us on a trip to the emergency care of an animal hospital. Unbeknownst to me, Alvin was diabetic and suffering from diabetic keto acidosis.
I was devastated as he had recently had a blood test and all seemed to be right with the world. He had been his normal, bouncy, happy, playful self until the night before. His lethargy, vomiting, and bloody urine all onset at the same time and I rushed him to the animal hospital instantly.
When the doctor broke the news to me, showed me the estimates, and told me about my options, I was overwhelmed. This all happened just before thanksgiving and I suddenly had a $5700 bill. All the joy of knowing that my baby was going to be alright was ripped away with the concerns of wondering how I was going to pay my bills, especially with Christmas coming up.
Pet’s Best to the rescue! I scanned and uploaded all documents and they did the rest from there. They paid my claim with ZERO hassle! There was some delay in processing the claim, but I believe that is due to the holiday season and me not having all records uploaded previously (as they strongly suggest).
Having Pets Best is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made and they literally saved my best friend’s life and came through during the holidays for the pupper, me, and my family. Thank you Pets Best!

Stress free Pets Best
I carry 2 separate insurances for 4 dogs. Older 13 year old is with his carrier and younger 3 girls are with Oers Best. Comparing both carriers in regards to claims, Owts Best is efficient in every expectation and refunds are in the mail in 2 weeks. The other carrier is a stressful nightmare. Questions, requests for clinic notes, back and forth etc. Free yourself from stress. Go with Pets Best.

They do not even cover surgeries they say that they cover. Complete Rip off. AVOID
My owner called Hartville to make sure that her dog's TPLO surgery from tearing her cruciate ligament (ACL for people), and they said that it would be covered. They have now denied the $5000 claim after she's already paid for it, and their stance is that since the owner did not see an accident or injury, it's not an injury. They say it is an illness that causes the rupture and thus is not covered under her accidental/injury policy. I responded with a long letter about how this patient had no orthopedic history and was acutely unable to put weight on their leg one day after coming in from the backyard, obviously indicating an acute injury. Their response was, "Knee and ligament conditions are orthopedic illnesses...regardless of cause". Do not use this company, as they are the only ones I know of who can deny a simple knee surgery, so there is no telling what else they would deny.

Worth every penny !
I recently got an English Mastiff puppy. XL breeds, everything is higher so pet ins is best. It's affordable, and the claim process was simple. They reimbursed me within 7 days.

DO NOT GET THIS INSURANCE
So, I've been paying for this insurance. They "promise" to take care of your pets. But it's the opposite. They're the lackies of the the fucked up vets. Forcing people with no money to pay way more, be in debt and get nothing for it but having to work harder and spend more time away from my pets. They don't do anything. They literally keep you on hold for hours constantly telling you your call matters and we'll transfer you to the next available agent. Newsflash. There are no agents. They take the money and put in 0 effort. It's absolutely despicable. Don't get this pet insurance. They will tell you ALL your claims can't be reimbursed and they'll send you a dumbass email saying here's our EOB. It's a fucking card with descriptions. It literally tells you nothing. I'll go deeper in debt for anyone who'll sue them for me.

MetLife Claims experience
Nothing but the best. Saw reviews where folks claimed they waited forever. Not so in our case. Always paid within 1-2 day of electronic submission of claim. We have carried pet insurance for many years. Had good experience with other carriers, but Nationwide our previous carrier has cut back on coverage and gone way up in price. So far, more than satisfied with MetLife. Other than asking for SOAP notes we don't have to bother our vet with claim forms. Was surprised to see that some items not covered by other insurers are covered by MetLife.
