I must say first and foremost ,when a claim is submitted, it is acknowledged the same day and resolved within days ! I have used EMBRACE for alittle over two years now and have referred 9 of my customers and friends to this wonderful company.You can login in after your claim is made and know your status....IT'S NEVER GUESS WORK ! With two NEWFOUNDLANDS that we treat like kids, it's assuring to us that EMBRACE has our back!

My wife and I are the proud parents of 3 beautiful angels that happen to be Chihuahua's. The oldest is 10 , our boy is 4 and our youngest is 3. We decided about a year ago we were going to insure our angels. "Researching" doesn't even begin to describe what we did while trying to find an insurer. Most companies were automatically excluded from eligibility because they would not insure our oldest- the 10 year old female- in perfect health. After coming up with 3 possible choices that would meet our needs, it was reviews like this one that helped me decide. My wife and I chose Healthy Paws and we have no regrets whatsoever. Our youngest, a tiny sweet angel named Cabiria, recently had a really crazy tug-of-war with another dog and a rope toy. This was highly unlike her, but we let it slide. The next day- she wasn't herself- it seemed like she was in pain. She wasn't eating and her normal jovial energy was non-existent. We took her to our vet where we learned the bad news. Cabiria needed 4 to 6 teeth removed immediately. The tug-of-war declared war on her mouth. We were advised not to wait. Naturally, we immediately went ahead with surgery. Cabiria needed anesthesia as well as extra special care. We only trust one vet in manhattan to touch our dogs so going to an "insurer approved" provider was out of the question. I have a very healthy three year old shepherd mix. Though I have had Healthy Paws insurance my pet's whole life, I have never had to use it until this year. My pet had a recurring infection and three vets recommended surgery. After having done many tests and trying various antibiotics (all of which healthy paws covered for me) I went for the very expensive, but not mandatory, surgery. One week later my claim has been processed, I have a check for almost the entire hospital stay bringing the cost down to hundreds rather than thousands out of my pocket. Healthy Paws answered all of my questions cheerfully and followed up to make sure my dog was recovering well. I am letting all of my pet parent friends know how worth the low monthly cost Healthy Paws' services are!

Although discounts are usually make off of the charges I submit, being in NYC the charges are almost always higher than the Company's reasonable and customary charges; however, even with the discounts, the premiums are lower than most other plans, so I guess it balances out in the end. The biggest objection is the max one year following coverage in the prior year, and after than, there's no coverage for the same illenss (unless 18 mo. has gone by without any treatment. The folks are always pleasant.

I've written several reviews and once again wanted to say how happy I am with Embrace Insurance. They review claims in a timely manner and are very fair when paying claims. I love the Wellness rewards too --- it's a no brainer if you see your vet at least once a year for an annual exam. The cost is more than made up for!

After a very detailed search, we decided to go with Healthy Paws Pet Insurance. And we are super happy that we did it.Six months ago, Buddy was hospitalized after he collapsed. Then later, he diagnosed with DCM ( dilated cardiomyopathy). During this stressful times, it is great to know that at least we do not need to worry about his vet bills. Our claims were settled within a week. Customer service is very professional , very personal and very caring. It is very very impressive how they care about our little paws. I was a new pet owner when I got my puppy in August. I wasn't sure if pet insurance was really worth it. But my vet at our first appointment insisted that it was a good idea over the life of my pet. Well, it's been so worth it and my pup is still only 8 months old. Gia was diagnosed with elbow dysplasia at 6 months old. I had noticed she was limping and that it was worse after playing at the dog park. We got a couple of opinions (all covered by Embrace) and surgery was recommended by everyone. Gia had surgery 2 1/2 weeks ago - arthroscopic surgery on both elbows. But the surgeon found during her surgery that one elbow was worse than we had hoped. He had to do an osteotomy in order to realign the bone. He also recommended stem cell therapy to bring down the level of inflammation that she had been enduring. I got a pre-certification with Embrace before surgery and I can't tell you how delighted I was, not only with their quick response, but also with their "embrace" of alternative therapy. I went into Gia's surgery with a lot more confidence knowing what was covered and by how much - nothing had been excluded by Embrace. The surgeon's office sent the records and bill to Embrace on March 5th and today the 11th I already have the EOB and payment. Embrace is simply amazing!
