Embrace is the best, hands down.
I have had my 6 year old Newfoundland Piper on the Embrace plan since she was a pup. Last month she developed bloat with a stomach twist and had to have emergency surgery. My claim with Embrace was covered very quickly with no questions asked. I will never have another dog without the coverage of Embrace.

extreme disappointment
Recently I submitted a claim. The company that processed my claim gave me $0 on my claim of $767.74. I carried regular pet insurance plus wellness. This company and the processing company are just like any insurance they take your money, but when you really need them they deny.

Healthy Paws enables you to focus on best care opt
When my retriever collided with another dog during a retrieve and broke both upper and lower canine teeth in addition to laceration of his upper lip, I was able to immediately focus on the best care options for him instead of what funds I had in my budget for emergency. My husbands response when I informed him of the incident was not a concern about our financial situation, but a sigh of relief that we have insurance. Healthy Paws customer care line verified my coverage when I called and a real person wished us well. My claim was promptly processed and although I could see each step on the app, I also received emails as it was processed. I was so impressed when I received an email after the claim was completed to inquire how my dog was recovering!

Fustrating
I sent in claims and have yet to have them paid out. I have to contact them by phone because thier website doesnt give enough information about what is needed to have the claim processed. Then I get a email same thing no information it just says check the website. Which also has zero information about the claim so you have to call. Everyone i have spoken to are nice but nice doesnt give me results. They often find a reason not to pay out a claim this time it was not enough history before we had our dog insured. Its been 3 months and i yet have had a claim paid out. Even after repeated phone calls I really dont have time to keep on them. There has to be an eaisier way.

you guys are awesome
everytime I send in a claim I wonder if it will be covered. My dog LIttle Star is on meds for probably the rest of her life. Thank God it is a manageable disease with treatment. I have never been denied claims yet. What a greay pet insurance company. Hats off to Laura Bennet and your entire staff. You all are a godsend

World Class Service!
I cannot say enough good things about Healthy Paws Pet Insurance! Recently, my 7lb yorkiepoo, Reese, required leg surgery on both of her back legs. As you can imagine, this was a very difficult time. Reese is like a child to me so something this serious and expensive was quite the stressor. Working with Healthy Paws through this whole thing has truly been a pleasure. Anytime I had any questions about billing, policies, etc. they were quick to help- sometimes getting an e-mail response within the hour! These individuals are kind, caring, and compassionate. They truly do care about the well-being of your pet. They have gone out of their way to send me e-mails just to check up on Reese and see how she is doing- you just don't see that kind of customer service anymore and it just tugs at my heartstrings. When Reese had surgery, I submitted her bill the very same day and it was approved just THREE DAYS later! A few short days after that, I received my check for reimbursement in the mail. I'm proud to say that Reese and I will be lifelong customers!

Good overall
Hi,
I've been happy with Embrace--I've had my two cats covered for 8 years. My experience thus far was that the first claim was accidentally rejected but then covered by them once I called. Since then everything covered within the policy has been covered at the 80% level.
What I don't like is that you have to pre-pay everything, and what I REALLY don't like is that you can't call in to pay the annual premium, the only option is an auto-deduct payment system. As the cats age it gets more expensive and this is ridiculous! I hope they can fix this and also lower costs overall as more people opt for pet insurance. Also I think that dental should be covered within the basic plan--what is more basic than dental care?! I feel the same way about insurance for humans--it should cover dental without extra cost!

Outstanding personal service
When I found my wonderful pit bull, Petey, through a rescue organization, my commitment to caring for his every need included purchasing a pet health insurance policy that would protect both of us. I searched the internet and got personal recommendations and all signs pointed to Healthy Paws, and I'm very glad I made the choice. Submitting a claim is effortless, and Healthy Paw's responsiveness is remarkable. Petey recently went through surgery to repair a torn cruciate ligament. I submitted the claim on the morning following his return home from the vet and Healthy Paws reviewed and approved it, and emailed me that afternoon. No issues, no challenges. On a few occasions, I've called them to ask questions and have always been greeted by pleasant knowledgeable people who provided me with frank honest answers and expressed their concern for my boy. I wish my own health insurance provider was as easy and pleasant to negotiate. They conduct their business with a personal touch, and that's a nice way to experience a health insurance company.
