My claims request was denied.
I did not contest it since the conditions were quite clear about pre existing issues.
But if there are veterinarians reviewing the claims in detail, they would have noted, that although she was still overweight, her weight had recently gone up and I was trying to ensure the absence of tumors or organ enlargement or constipation or reduced GI motility.
Instead only generalized diagnosis was taken into consideration.
I hope the claims process can become more refined in the future.

Healthy Paws made a stressful time better so we could focus on our pet's recovery
Our dog was involved in a pretty severe accident where he was dragged behind our dog sitter's car. He had to be hospitalized for four days, required surgery and has had a month-long recovery. Knowing we had insurance gave us so much relief as we talked through worse case scenarios with the vet hospital. The customer service line answered my calls, and the process to upload the claim was very straightforward.
