Bear was diagnosed with pancreatitis and extreme intestinal inflammation. Needless to say we were extremely concerned. He had to be hospitalized for 4 days and during that time the vet performed treatments to flush his stomach, intestines and colon. His very serious condition was treated and all went well. Bear is back to his bouncy happy self! Again Healthy Paws helped to ease our hearts and bring peace of mind during a traumatic and stressful experience. I've had two dogs insured. Duncan had an intestinal/ bacterial infection on Christmas day, and had to go to the emergency veterinary hospital. Thankfully a large portion of his treatment and overnight stay was covered. When he was diagnosed with melanoma, again they covered a good portion of his treatment. Oscar was bitten in the park, and it covered his needed stitches. It is easy to submit a claim online, and they communicate well and send a check promptly.

We just completed a claim with Healthy Paws for an emergency operation for our 8 month old chocolate lab. She had a piece of a chew rope stuck in her tummy and it rotted away about 5 inches of intestine. Honestly, I expected reimbursement to be a bit of a battle. I am a first time puppy owner and very recently my puppy was bitten on the face by another dog. His bite was heavily infected and he needed an abscess surgical procedure done as well as a month of antibiotics. I downloaded the Healthy Paws app and it is extremely easy to use to process your claims. All you have to do is snap a photo of you invoice and the claims will get processed in about 1-2 days. For my puppy's surgery, I submitted the invoice on a Thursday, got my claim processed on Friday, and on Monday I received my reimbursement in the mail! Even my co-worker (who has had a dog for 9 years) was blown away by how fast the service was. In addition, Healthy Paws personally reached out to me to check up on Cooper to make sure that he was doing okay. The customer service was one of the best I've ever received for an insurance company.

I don't typically run to the vet unless I really feel it is necessary but when your dog swallows a razor, well it becomes necessary. These guys are SO easy to work with and so prompt and fair. I had some lumps cut out of my dog and submitted the bill Tuesday (upload PDF to website, so easy) and got the approval Wednesday for 90% of the bill!! This is the third time I've submitted and they've all been super easy and fast but this time really blew me away. Great company.
