Great experience

My Bengal cat hurt his paw & needed blood work, x-rays & medication because of this. After having Trupanion for two years with no incident, I was pleasantly surprised at how fast they responded to the two claims that my veterinarian submitted for me. Within two weeks, claims were reviewed. As promised, 90% of what they said they would cover, they did. I was just informed that my reimbursement checks were in the mail. They were very courteous & professional when I first called to find out what I needed to do for a claim. I highly recommend Trupanion.

Truly the best

I have had Trupanion pet insurance since I got my rescue dog, Annabelle in February, 2011. A year later I noticed she was limping & I took her to my vet. He diagnosed her with 2 trick knees (rear legs) requiring surgery. She had the 1st surgery March, 2012 & the 2nd one in May, 2012. Each surgery was over $2600.00. The ease at which this was handled was amazing. My vet submitted the bills to Trupanion, & they covered all expenses at 90% which they sent directly to the Vet. I paid the balance of 10%. In addition, my Vet recommended a joint supplement to be given to Annabelle daily & Trupanion reimburses me at 90% when I submit my, bills. And the most amazing part is they actually send me a letter thanking me for taking such good care of Annabelle. Also their staff are professional, courteous & extremely helpful. They are simply the best.

Simply the best!!!!

Probably one of the best decision ever in my life to get Healthy paw insurance for my Dog.My baby was diagnosed with cataract in one eye and was recommended eye surgery immediately. The cost of the surgery was exorbitant....somewhere around $3500. Luckily for me I had healthy paw insurance but still was not sure whether they will cover it because I heard so many stories of insurance denying payment by giving some lame reason but Healthy paw processed my claims very fast and smoothly as soon as they received the paperwork. They reimbursed me 90% of the cost.I cant praise enough about how courteous the staff is.They even checked on him after the surgery to see how he is doing.I highly recommend this company. My baby is very happy and finally running, chasing squirrels and ball without bumping into things. Thanks you so much helathy paw!!!

Excellent Pet Insurance

Our poodle, Jolie, a rescue, has gotten herself into lots of trouble in the two years e have had her. She has a fondness for all sorts of things a dog should not eat: chocolate, vaseline, raw rice, etc. Tnis has resulted in much time at the vets. Fortunately our insurace has covered most of this. HEALTHY PAWS has paid 90% of the covered claims promptly. They have been extremely pleasant to deal with. I would highly recommend their services to anyone considering pet insurance. Couldn't Be Happier

My Frenchie, Macaroni, ate part of a corn cob and after 2 months of digesting in his stomach, it became lodged in his intestines. I live in NYC and emergency pet surgery is extremely expensive. It was a difficult time for us as we thought we were going to lose out little monster, but one very positive outcome was how quickly the claim was processed and the amount that was covered. I submitted it on Sunday night and the claim was approved on Wednesday. They even sent an e-mail to get an update on his status that showed real concern for Macaroni, who BTW is almost back to normal after just a week after surgery. I have another dog covered by VPI which is schedule based rather than % and it takes much longer for the claims to be processed and in an expensive market like NYC, it just does not make sense as the amount they will cover typically does not even come near the cost. If I had a claim of $100, I never knew if I would get $80 back or $8. She is too old to make the switch, unfortunately.

Great coverage

I've had ASPCA Pet Insurance on my cats for many years. The claims are handled promptly with a good reimbursement rate. Plus I have peace of mind knowing that my cats are protected.

Very satisfied

Our kitty had to have emergency surgery after swallowing a small rubber cap on a feather toy, which resulted in an obstructed intestine. We filed our claims with Healthy Paws and they processed them within a week. Their app is very user friendly (just take a photo of the bills and upload), and they covered a substantial portion of the cost, including the X-rays prior to surgery, the surgery itself, and kitty's hospital stay without any quibbling. There was no despair trying to correspond with an actual human being, and the customer service representative responded to our inquiries promptly and courteously.Healthy Paws really came through and lived up to their promises. Why can't health insurers for humans figure out how to do this?

Wellcare benefits are not good

The filing process is great and the reimbursement very prompt, but I wish the reimbursements were higher. While I am thankful my dog does not generally require more significant services, paying $50 on a $202.50 claim is not great. It only pays $25 per year for Heartguard and Frontline products.

It's a big help

I've had this policy for six years for my six year old Yorkie, Maggie. She recently had a severe stomach upset which left her ill for several days. We were back and forth to the vet for xrays, blood work to rule out a more serious condition. Thankfully she recovered completely and returned to normal. I submitted several claims (forms are easy to use) and faxed them in. The claims were processed promptly and I received checks for each claim. I also received emails and a follow up call which was nice. I have been happy with this policy. It just a little peace of mind to know I have it.
