Healthy paws was great with the whole process. They even emailed me asking how steele was. Almost all of my bill was covered and they did it very fast. Btw steele is doing great now!

healthy paws has been our insurance company since we got our rescue puppy six months ago. and in that time, our dog has undergone x-rays, ultrasounds, mass removals, and countless probes, check-ups, and antibiotics cycles. we expected much of this to actually not be covered by healthy paws. but once we'd gotten beyond our deductible, they've gone above and beyond. we are always reimbursed the percentage we've agreed on, and have saved literally thousands of dollars. the process for submitting claims is simple, answers are fast, and checks arrive in the mail that same week more often than not. and they follow up, asking how your animal is doing. it's the best experience we could imagine, and i recommend them to everyone we meet.

Our little Yorkie scared us so badly when his belly expanded to the point we thought his tummy skin was going to burst! We rushed him to a 24 Hr. Emergency Vet office on a weekend night, and they drained 2 liters of liquid out of his belly. Made him feel so much better but still needed testing and care, which our wonderful Vet Doc took care of. However the cost was really up there, but at the time, that really didn't matter. We were just so concerned with our Mickey. However, once he was better, and Christmas was upon us, spending the money we did was really putting a strain on our budget. We are retired with 6 grandkids nearby, and decided we would not let the tight budget stop us from having a great Christmas with our grandkids. We would have to work out the cost when the bills came in January. But Pets Best was there to help! True to their word, they covered a large portion of our Vet bills! Within 10 days of filing our claims, which covered almost 2 weeks of Vet visits and treatments, Pets Best came through with their advertised claim reimbursement. I was able to scan and email all of my vet bills for the 7 different Vet visits and treatments, and Pets Best covered 80% after our $100 deductible. They were GREAT!! The money was back in our bank account within 2 days of notification. They are super professional, so helpful in filing a claim, and informed me of a couple of problems they were having with getting the actual Vet records sent to them. All around an easy process to send the claim in, and the speed with which it was handled was amazing. Thanks so much to everyone at Pets Best. We are so happy we signed up with YOU 7 years ago! Healthy Paws has been insuring my Pet since we got him.They recently covered my dogs surgery cost. I sent them over an estimate and they told me it would be covered under his policy. Once the surgery was complete, the invoice was sent and they emailed me within a few days showing exactly what was covered. They even followed up to ask how our pet was doing. Great company with great service.

I took out this insurance for my malamute when he was a pup. It sure has paid off. He had to have surgery for a torn cruciate ligament. He is almost 4 years old. It sure helped with the cost of the surgery!

Our lab ended up needing emergency stomach surgery to clear a blockage. At every step of the process attempting to diagnose her, it was a huge relief knowing exactly how Healthy Paws coverage works. No sneaky tricks, no after-the-fact exceptions for "genetic" conditions, no average allowable prices which have no bearing on reality. We know what pre-existing conditions of hers will not be covered, and aside from deductible and office fees, everything else for our plan is actual 90% reimbursement for actual expenses paid. We could make treatment decisions based on what she needed, without the added stress of worrying about what each thing would cost -- or even if it would be covered. I have 4 pets with coverage. I've had minor things happen, and lately a bigger deal when my dog was diagnosed with hemmorhagic gastritis and vomiting. We had him to the vet several times for everything from diagnosing, treating, hydrating, ultrasounds, special diets, and internal medicine consults. We are arond a $1,300.00 bill so far, and not done yet. After submitting a very simple form after each visit, we were re-ibursed 90%. That's it. It was that simple. No arguments or hidden problems, just our money back. I've had the same experience every time I've submitted a claim. No hassles, no questions, no worries. The only drawback I can see is that my dog will require a more expensive prescription diet for life, and the insurance only covers 50% of that cost and only two months of coverage is allowed. That's kind of frustrating, Very, very happy with the coverage over all though. Took the stress out of giving my pup the things he needs to get better. I highly recommend this company.
