Trupanion in great. My mini Schnauzer got bit by another dog (my dog got out of gate and ran up to a dog on a leash, so sort of my fault). Deep punctures on snout and back of neck. Ran to the emergency room - $900 later all is well with my mini, and trupanion covered 90% of the vet bill, no questions! Glad I had them!

First I would like to say I have never written a review for any product or company, but after my experience with Healthy Paws Pet Insurance I was compelled to do so. My English bulldog tore the tendons in both his knees and needed major surgery.The staff at Healthy Paws were kind courteous and caring .The claim was completed in less then a week ,this company is everything it says it is and more. We are beyond pleased and thankful for the extensive coverage and superior customer service Healthy Paws has provided for our dog, Remington. When Remington injured his knee and needed major surgery, Healthy Paws made it possible for him to receive the best possible medical care available. Claims were filed with just a click of a button and our reimbursement checks were in the mail within a week! On top of this, Healthy Paws checked in throughout Remington's recovery to send him hugs and see how he was doing. It is truly amazing how Healthy Paws helped to make a rather difficult and stressful time a lot easier. We highly recommend Healthy Paws and have encouraged our pet-parent friends to check them out! My dog Charley is 7-1/2. We've had him with ASPCA since he was 8 weeks old. ASPCA has seen us through some tough times for Charley. This year Charley had to have surgery on both his hind legs when his tendons tore. Again ASPCA helped defray the costs. I've never had a single problem filing or receiving payment for a claim be it for annual checkups or major surgery.

Our beloved golden retriever has a unusual diagnosis of Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth. She takes an antibiotic every day to enable her to digest her food properly. She has been licking herself a bit obsessively lately so she's made several visits the last few months. Embrace has covered all of her expenses without any problems. I wish the health insurance for us was as easy!

I'm amazed at how quickly and accurately Healthy Paws processes claims. My 1 and 1/2 year old Labradoodle has had a few issues and Healthy Paws has really come through every time. I'd highly recommend them to any pet owner.

While the coverage is ok, I am not at all amused with the answer to my recent question about the health check list. I never received a form to have my vet fill out and return within the 30 days of activation. They say it went to my gmail but all I have are emails asking me to like their page, upload cute pictures etc. (Junk mail) Pets Best is blaming Gmail for non-delivery but they can't forward me proof of their supposed original email w/ the form being requested. I'm a timely person and would have followed through.. Still deciding if this is worth keeping (their insurance) I am not one for games.

For just under $30 per month I get the piece of mind knowing that my husband & I can get generous compensation for any medical emergencies that might come up. With my cat, she is living with mild renal failure and our first appointment to diagnose that cost a lot of money. With ASPCA, we got about 80% of that back. We would have gotten more, but our vet charges a little bit over ASPCA's accepted charges. But it's better than nothing and is worth the peace of mind.

VPI- please add ferret to your questions below- I had to pick cat because my choices were only dog or cat. Thanks! Marshmallow my little ferret was withdrawn and not eating, not like her at all. I brought her to the vet, who after X-rays and ultrasound found that Marshmallow had a blockage. Marshmallow had surgery that evening and the vet removed a cosmetics tip applicator from her. I never thought I would actually need insurance, but thankfully I had it and was able to get my baby the care that she needed. I will never be without insurance for my pets. VPI reimbursed me $930, which more than covers the cost of Marshmallow's insurance for years to come. Very much worth it both financially and for peace of mind. Thank you VPI.

Trupanion was absolutely amazing. They are helpful, quick to respond and reimburse and worth the monthly expense.
