Always The Best
My claim was submitted and paid within 10 days - and it wasn't the first time. Two of my dogs are alive because I had the ability to provide recommended treatment as opposed to the alternative. Most of the vets I use submit the forms for us as we leave the door and I have never had to wait more than four weeks for a check. As a matter of fact the check often arrives before the bill.

Seriousely the best pet insurance available
My dog was on another insurance for about 6 years. I changed over to Healthy Paws because I couldn't strand dealing with the other insurance and I had read rave reviews about Healthy Paws. Within a 6 weeks of being on the insurance, my dog needed emergency surgery for a splenectomy. Costs were about $5,300. If we hadn't had this insurance, we wouldn't have been able to afford the surgery and would have had to put him down. I had a check in hand 2 or 3 days after I had submitted the claim. It took longer because there was a lot of paperwork. My cat needed exploratory surgery last week and Healthy Paws offered to prepay their portion of the bill. Once again, the time between submitting the claim and receiving a check was just a few days. The few times I've had to actually speak to someone, they were very pleasant. Emails are answered within a few hours. And they just sent me an email asking about how he was feeling and were specific as to what sort of surgery he had. I seriously can't say enough nice thing about them!!!!

Worth every penny!
After my first dog got sick and spending over 9k to give him the best chances of survival I decided to get insurance on my second dog. Best decision I have made. I spend roughly 1600-1800 a year on his vet care since he has developed arthritis. Trupanion true to their policy has reimbursed me a good portion back each time (which actually comes to roughly what I spend to have him insured each year.) So in the end its like I have free insurance for my dog since I would spend the money anyways .. and now I have the peace of mind knowing that I won't get stuck financially if he needs more medical attention. If I ever get another pet, puppy or older, I will always get Trupanion insurance and have been recommending them to my friends. Its worth the money for the peace of mind.

Embracing Embrace
My recent claim submission to Embrace was met with an extremely quick turnaround time, no issues, and hopefully a check in and within another short period of time. I am grateful to have found such a professional and efficient insurance company for my Bear. From the policy renewals and other positive and helpful communications to the streamlined claim processing, I'm just glad I chose Embrace years ago.

Best Decision I Ever Made!
I have a dachshund and I got Embrace pet insurance because they cover "breed specifice" illnesses. Dachshunds are very prone to back issues (IVDD) and I wanted to make sur that the pet insurance I bought would cover back surgery since it is very costly. I decided to get covered after hearing my neighbor's story with her dachshund in February 2015. Luck would have it that MY dachshund ended up having three slipped discs because of IVDD in April 2015 and needed back surgery. The surgery cost me $6,000 but Embrace covered 80% of it.
I was extremely afraid that Embrace would reject my claim for some ridiculuous reason, but they did not! They honored the claim and processed it within a week. Excellent company and worth the money to buy the insurance!

THE #1 PET INSURANCE - Proven and Earned!!!
The only bad experience with Healthy Paws is that they make me realize how awful insurance companies for humans are!
My 8.5 year old boxer boy underwent his first surgery to remove a mass growing on his back. I contacted Healthy Paws claim department and was able to speak to a live person within minutes who provided me an estimate within hours! My appointment was on a Monday; I received an email confirmation confirming receipt of invoice on Tuesday; on Wed, my claim was processed. I received my reimbursement check by Saturday! REPEAT: I received the reimbursement in less than a week from the day of surgery.
It's no wonder they are ranked the #1 pet insurance covering 90%. I have tried to tell all of my friends at the dog park and vet's office about my experience because I wish someone would've told me sooner! With all of the love I have in my heart for my Maximus who is everything to me, I thank you Healthy Paws!

Nothing But A Scam
One of the most scamming and unethical insurance companies I've ever had the displeasure to work with. The first claim I make, a small claims under $300, they keep telling me I'm fine and I'll be covered. I decided not to renew my coverage, so then I wait a month and keep following up on my claim, and then I finally get a phone call telling me my claim was denied because of some reason they literally just made up on the fly, saying I had to activate my insurance within 24 hours of adopting my dog but the shelter waited a few days to activate it. Because of this Trupanion claimed my coverage is null and void and that there's nothing I can do. They literally made up a reason to void claim because I decided not to continue my coverage way after I filed the claim, when they told me for a fact beforehand I'd be covered, and on a side note, they kept pressuring me and notifying me to renew my coverage. Worst insurance company, nothing but a huge scam, and they care nothing for your dog or their clients; the only thing that matters is their pocket and screwing their customers.

Terrible
They will only reimburse 80% of what they deem an allowable charge for the service performed and not what was charged by the vet. Terrible!
