My Yorkshire Terrier called Mimi is now 2 years old. During the past years she has suffered with some minor but annoying clinical problems, such congestion, skin complaints after walking into some grass that was obviously sprayed with some insecticides that was not pet friendly. She has developed some asthmatic problems mostly allergy related. However, apart from additional health issues that I have not mentioned all these visits to the Vet are costly. Vets have no conscience when charging for medical assistance and I would like to say that instead of following a legal career I should have become a DVM. Embrace have always paid for the care as per our insurance policy guidelines and for that I am extremely happy and appreciative that they honor their obligations without question. Even though my Vet is outstanding and discount me because as I am a frequent visitor to their medical office, I still believe its a good cash business for them. So in short, I have a good DVM to go to and I have a good insurance provider and Embrace should be rated as one of he best companies to provide insurance coverage for pets; all creatures great and small.

Several years ago, I adopted a 6 mos old terrier mix. He decided he really enjoyed chewing my furniture, beds, cabinets, tables, chairs, etc. At that point I started investigating pet insurance as I was afraid he would need surgery for eating wood. Luckily, that never happened and luckily I chose Healthy Paws as the best possible insurance after a very thorough investigation of all other options. My little boy, Ollie, just had surgery for a patella luxation (dislocated knee cap). This has been a very stressful ordeal as he can't run, jump, take walks for 8 weeks. He's on meds to calm his energy level and just wants to be a dog again. With all of this stress, Healthy Paws has been more than outstanding. His surgery was approved for reimbursement immediately. It was also recommended that he get physical therapy. Healthy Paws approved that too! I only wish that Healthy Paws would insure me! They are absolutely the best in coverage, so easy to work with and claims are approved and paid within days. I have told all of my friends about them. Last year I adopted a little girl who is now approx 4. She also has Healthy Paws.

Not only that, their representatives contacted me to check on my dogs progress and offered kind words of encouragement. Never would have expected that. I am very pleased, and am confident that I am in very good hands. I would absolutely recommend them!

She was having a seizure, she had never had one before, none of my dogs have ever had seizures. We took her to the emergency clinic, they kept her overnight and she had two more gran mall seizures. The next morning, we took her to AVS which is a specialty clinic, we saw the neurologist and after an MRI, they diagnosed her with a brain tumor, and only gave her weeks to months. I took out Trupanion in 2010, never dreaming we would need it, and sure enough, we did need it. The bills were mounting up for those few days, over two thousand dollars. I submitted the claims and within ten days, I had the reimbursement checks. We were amazed that the claims were paid so promptly, and the people at Trupanion were so caring and interested in how Katie was coming along. I cannot say enough about Trupanion being truthful, honest, compassionate and interested in my pet. Definitely recommend them!

We have used this twice. Although the monthly premium is a bit high the 90% reimbursement is much better than other insurance we have used. The only offset on the score is the higher deductible vs. the payment.

I debated on getting pet insurance when I first got my dog, but it was the smartest, best decision I've ever made. You just never know when something is going to happen. With my puppy, it turned out he had a genetic disorder called luxating patella which he needed major surgery on both back legs. Healthy Paws was so quick to send the claim check! I was so worried because the vet said that a lot of insurance companies will find ways out of covering this surgery, and I was so relieved when it was so easy!! Healthy Paws is the way to go!! I can't express how amazing this insurance is. This very week I just had the most horrible week, because my puppy got sick and the doctors could not figure out what was wrong. He had x-rays, surgery, biopsies, ER visits, an insane amount of meds and the only peace of mind I had the whole time was knowing that I had Healthy Paws, and they are covering 90% of all his x-rays, surgery, meds, and various procedures. For a week straight my dog was not eating, not getting better and no one knew why...I can't imagine what a massive train wreck I would've been without Healthy Paws. One of the best decisions I made and will continue to make for his entire life! Worth it, so very very worth it!
