Quick Claim Settlement
Because I didn't have insurance last year I paid over $7K in vet bills for a bull terrier that ultimately succumbed to liver failure from zipper surgery (she ate the outside fabric of an Ikea pillow). So it was a blessing to have everything paid on Twinkle except my $250 deductible. When you're retired you worry about big expenses and don't want to have to tap into a retirement fund either. I will be renewing the policy come October. Thank you Nationwide!

Pets Best went above and beyond.
Filing the claim was very easy. I uploaded the vet bill invoice and noticed there was no diagnosis included. I listed the diagnosis myself and later found out from my vets office that Pets Best Ins took the time to call my vet to verify the diagnosis instead of just denying my claim! They went above and beyond and I am very grateful. I have been very pleased with the expeditious payment on my claims.

Horrible
This company is TERRIBLE! It took 4 months for nationwide to go through my claim and pay. Which means I had 4 months of interest getting charged on my credit card (because you have to pay it out of pocket 1st) that I was not going to get reimbursed for. It was said that it took a while because the company was behind on reviewing the claims (which obviously isn't my fault but I was getting penalized for it) . That's is what I was told 4 times I called. I talked to different people Everytime. It was just ridiculous. DO NOT EVER GO WITH THIS COMPANY. I REPEAT DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY, UNLESS YOU WABT THEM TO TAKE FOREVER TO PAY AND GET YOUR CREDIT CARD INTEREST RAN UP!!!

Slow processing time, too many claims denied
Don’t get me wrong, insuring my pet with Nationwide has paid for itself, but there are so many claims denied. If more information is needed, they take the wole 30 days to tell you that and the process starts all over again. My pet has had a lot of medical issues, but I don’t think about this insurance plan would benefit a normal, healthy pet.

Trupanion team is incredibly kind
everyone on the trupanion team is incredibly kind and committed. I have always received immediate responses when needed, and they have always alerted me right away when something changes on my account or if there's an issue/change with a medication. I am very pleased, and know that they put my animals first.
