Regardless of the premium, its well worth the investment.Vet costs are through the ceiling and catastrophic care is the most expensive a 4 to 5000 vet bill in some cases would end up in euphuism and that's not a choice I would want to make. And Some vets will allow assignment in lieu of euphuism. What a blessing. Embrace has a good name. In my opinion you cant go wrong. Dogs Cats just love o get into anything and that at times is very costly. If a person thinks Dogs and Cats are expensive own a African Gray Or a Macaw or any other exotic bird Know that's a costly pet.

We adopted a 5 year old Beagle mix in September, 2013. Because she was a rescue, she had very limited medical records when I applied for the insurance and was thrilled they accepted her. She tore her right CCL in May, 2014 and tore her left CCL in October, 2014, both requiring surgery. In both instances, the claims were processed within 5 days and I had check in hand within 10 days. After my Toy Fox Terrier broke his radius and ulna, I decided to get pet insurance. I looked at a half dozen policies and chose Healthy Paws because they seemed to have the best coverage for the lowest premium. Sadly, a few months later, Ace started limping. He was diagnosed with luxated patellas in both knees. Surgery was required because he was in pain. All I can say is thank you so much. I rescued two Italian Greyhounds and wanted to make sure all shot and every thing they needed was done. They have been chipped, shots, teeth and all and this insurance was worth every penny. We have always carried pet health insurance for all our dogs. Our claim history with Zuzu our 9 yr old mixed dachshund is scarce as we really had no terrible incidents, thank God. However I am very scare of that renewal clause in which any illness during a policy period will be considered a pre-existing condition, after certain age we all including pets develop arthritis etc. In Zuzu's case arthritis is the issue. If the insurance carrier offers a guaranteed coverage for an additional fee, this offer has a minimal disclosure, just to make sure that the majority of people will not even notice it. It is unfortunate that pet insurance is so deceiving and unregulated, pet owners consider their pets as their children and after years of paying for costly insurance premiums is heartbreaking to find yourself financing out of pocket your pet's medical needs. I intend to review all the pet insurance carriers in the market when my renewal approaches.

I have had Healthy Paws for my English Bulldog for approximately 3 years now and could not be happier! It is super easy to file a claim via email and they process claims lightening fast.. sometimes the same day! My poor baby has had a rough couple of years between knee surgeries and recurring pneumonia and they are the only reason my husband and I have been able to see to it that our baby is getting the care he needs!
