Very pleased with Pets Best
I did a lot of research on pet insurance when I first got my rescue and decided to go with Pets Best. They have been VERY fast to pay claims (within 5 days or less), explain my benefits well, and have answered any and all questions I call about. They even covered a dermatology specialist's visit and testing which is not cheap!
In fact, I accidentally called the wrong pet insurance after Googling "Pets Best" to get the number - It started with "Pet" so I hit call. It took FOREVER to get in touch with a person, they were very short with me, and it wasn't until they couldn't find my policy that I realized I called the wrong place. Whew! Finally found the right number it was a very different experience. Pets Best answered right away and got my questions addressed.
They have an online chat service that has also been great and convenient.
Overall, I highly recommend. It has been very much worth the money.

Great First Experience
We adopted an ~8 year old rescue dog last summer and signed up for Trupanion coverage as soon as he came to live with us. Six months later, he was diagnosed with cancer. Trupanion reviewed his records and processed the claim quickly. Reimbursement checks arrived about 10 days after they were approved. Additional treatment claims are being approved as they occur, though beware that no exam fees are covered, even for follow-up visits.

OVERALL GREAT PET INS
Since rescuing my kitten at 8 weeks she has been in and out of the vet with granuloma / dermatitis skin condition and other things kittens go through there 1-2,years. Embrace has been great with handling/processing claims. I had to file so many claims in less than 2 yrs and never had a problem. I always get an email on the status of the claim and if I ever had a question of any sorts I always get through to a speak to a representative. I believe the coverage is great in comparison to other companies and the monthly fee for the insurance is very reasonable for my lovable Tallulah. I intend to stay w/ Embrace

Incredible Company and Fast Claim Service!
If you have a pet, you need pet insurance. I adopted a 3 1/2 year old dog in October and immediately started researching pet insurance. I chose Healthy Paws in November because the policy seemed to be the right fit. In January, my dog developed bloat and after 3 consecutive days visiting the ER, it was decided my dog needed surgery. When they told me what the cost would be, I almost fainted. Then I remembered Healthy Paws and prayed they would cover this.
I submitted my claims online, and received payment in less than a week, as well as receiving an email inquiring about my dogs' progress. I never suspected an insurance company to actually care!
I recommend Healthy Paws without any hesitation.

Coverage versus Premium is getting worst
We are very disappointed in the amoount of coverage versus our annual premium. What we paid for our seven year old Kylee's annual physical and wellness tests, shots etc at our AAHA approved vets...was only one third covered by insurance. With an annual premium of over $1000 and we have had only wellness and physicals. It seems to be getting worst each year.

Always there for me and my Fur Babies
Healthy Paws is unparalleled pet insurance. My youngest pug, Bojangles "Bo" just had to have extensive surgery and polyups were discovered during the surgery. I swallowed hard at the surgical estimate, but from past experience (yes this is not the 1st time) I was able to say take care of my "Bo", I have Healthy Paws Insurance. Once the surgery was over all I needed to do was submit my claim and the Vet/Surgeon clinical notes (Healthy Paws already had "Bo's" health history) and within 3 days I had a note on the amount covered and my check within 5 days. I filed my claim on line, the only thing that could make it easier is if they offered direct deposit of the claim check. About a week later they follow up to make sure all is good and to see how you and your pet are doing. Everyone that works there must be required to love animals.

Great Customer Service
After a lot of research I decided to insure my cat with Healthy Paws. I've had to take my cat to the vet for minor illness and received a reimbursement check quickly. Customer Service is excellent. However, I learned the hard way...if you are already at the lowest deductible and highest reimbursement % and decide to lower your monthly premium by increasing the deductible and reducing the reimbursement you will not be able to go back to having the lowest deductible and highest reimbursement as long as you have a claim. They will let you increase the deductible and reduce the reimbursement until you are at the highest deductible and lowest reimbursement even if you have a claim...you just won't be able to go back to reducing the deductible and increasing the reimbursement.
