Having Nationwide insurance helped me focus just on get my pet the healthcare he needed
Back in November my chihuahua had an accident that resulted in him losing a lot of blood and having a seizure in the process. He is a senior dog (12 years), we were able to drive him to the emergency vet office but it was really bad that by the time we got there (less than 30 minutes) he was completely paralized from his neck down. We have the Insurance + Welness plan so we keep our dogs up to date with the doctor visits and prevention, but never had an accident before so this was new territory for us, really scary and stressful. Long story short, having insurance helped us focus on what was important, providing our dog the care he needed without having to worry too much about how much it would cost. He ended up staying 5 days in the ICU, and having insurance saved us 3000+ in bills. I was already familiar with the claim process since we open one for every doctor visit, so we included all the vet release documents and Nationwide refunded us no questions asked within the next week. Our beautiful chihuahua is been recovering since, he is able to walk normally and able to use the doggie door again! He is a little grumpy but that just means he is back to being himself :-P

Without a doubt the best pet insurance company out there.
I love this insurance. Filing a claim is very easy, there’s never any hassle about what my vet wants to do, and claims are paid promptly. The cost is well worth the coverage.

Excellent Service
Nationwide has been nothing but excellent during this very difficult time in my kitty's life. The claims filed thru the website are processed quickly and the electronic funds transfer makes things so much easier. I'm glad that I have this insurance for my fur kids, it had helped immensely.

Every process of dealing with this company is easy. From paying your monthly bill to submitting claims to having to give more info for a claim is always painless. They process everything quickly and efficiently. Wish they would run my medical insurance!!

Great and caring claim service
This is my 3rd year with the policy for Whiplash and my other boy Concussion. I have been so pleased with the coverages, fair premium, and claim service. I often recommend your pet insurance to my friends, family and coworkers. I am a 31 year Insurance Claims employee with another carrier so I understand the challeges and rewards of what you all do. My company has recently started piloting pet coverage but cannot compete with your premiums at this time. The piece of mind your product offers is so appreciated and your customer service is consistently top notch.

After the initial pet profile docs were submitted, the process is super simple.
The initial pet profile piece (submitting all precious vet documents) was not proactively sought out. Nor was letting a new client know what exactly needed to be submitted with each claim (receipt not sufficient, doctor notes are required). As a new pet insurance purchaser, it made my first claim challenging to get handled correctly. Once that was done however, everything runs smoothly.
