I have to say that I'm absolutely amazed at the level of service I received from Healthy Paws. It has made our lives SO much easier knowing that our pets are covered with insurance. It's not only the insurance that gives us peace of mind, it's the ease of filing claims (take a photo and submit through an app - couldn't be easier), the genuine care and concern from all of the Customer Service representatives I've spoken with and the speed at which claims are processed. I wish my health insurance company cared as much as they do! We have three dogs and I wish I had signed up for Healthy Paws years ago. My youngest dog recently tore both her cruciate ligaments, requiring surgery on both her legs. We had the surgery done on a Thursday. By Friday they had already processed the claim and submitted payment. It's stressful enough having to deal with an injured pet, but having 90% of $16,000 vet bills covered allowed us to focus on our dog and not the cost of the surgery. Additionally they followed up with an email a week after the surgery asking if she was ok. I highly recommend Healthy Paws to anyone considering Pet Insurance.

The representatives are not only kind and courteous, but very knowledgeable. They walked me through the various plans available and helped me to choose the one that best fit my budget and my needs. Claims are assessed in a timely manner, customer service is available at all times, and filing claims is easy. The online availability to check my claim or stay on top of open claims make things convenient as well. Overall, an excellent choice and one I highly recommend.

Got my insurance through a signup from the breeder. It was supposed to have no waiting period. Dog had diarrhea when he came home, like almost all puppies have when they're adjusting to a new home. In an unexpected turn of events he tested postiive for parvo. They used the 'existing diarrhea' to reject coverage for his parvo treatment as a pre-existing condition. It took them almost 3 weeks to reject my initial claim after my first call with them told me it sounded like a normal basic case. They also tried to say that I didn't sign-up correctly to avoid paying out before I appealed. It took them another 3 days to decline my appeal without speaking to anyone. One positive note - All of the representatives I spoke to, save the tool who tried to tell me I didn't sign up right, were extremely pleasant and helpful. Trupanion is a complete scam and I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy.

I just want to say a big THANK YOU!!!!! I am so thankful to have HealthY Paws Pet Insurance giving me the financial peace of mind to cover my best buddy, Button when he has emergency issues. Button was an owner-surrendered Yorkshire Terrier to a Manhattan, NYC kill shelter in 2012. He was saved from death by Anarchy Rescue, and then sent to Yorkie 911 Rescue for further rehabilitation. I counted that I am his 5th home! We fell in love with him at a dog adoption day, and never looked back. The term "who rescued who" is so appropriate in our home; since I do not have any children (just plenty of nieces and nephews!!!). The decision to have pet insurance was to insure that this little dog's life would never have a price tag on him again; nor will I every throw him away. I read about Healthy Paws through an AAA recommendation, and your company has not let me down. I can sure handle the day-to-day, well-doggie issues financially with the vet; but, my dog has had a few emergencies due to his getting into trouble or an unexpected illness, and those vet bills were scary. The insurance has provided me with such peace of mind, knowing that my dog gets great care, when I hand over the credit card. Button's recent ear canal surgery was health threatening, (sad and scary as pet parents, fearful that we might loose him), and the associated vet bill was even scarier. I actually called Healthy Paws before the surgery just like I do for my own insurance "just in-case". Customer support gave me peace of mind to move forward. After the surgery, the reimbursement was at 90% - paid very, very promptly! Button almost died during the surgery. He had a TECA (total ear canal ablation), and is now hearing in only one good ear (he hears just fine now!)--probably a special needs dog. After two weeks rough recovery with the "cone of shame", eye drops, and keeping him calm and confined, the Surgeon gave Button a "thumbs up", and he is a happy, healthy dog--back to his old self. Without the expert care of two vets, my Button Buddy would have died. I am hoping that now he has a lot of dog treats, belly rubs,and life in him more a few more years. With your insurance, he will definitely have that care with the amazing coverage that you provide. I have been recommending Healthy Paws to many of my dog owners friends for their consideration Button says thanks! So do I! The picture on the web page is Button before surgery. Took my dog to the vet for a severe cough. Less than two weeks after the visit, I received the refund check from Trupanion. My other carrier took forever to send the check. What a nice surprise receiving the money so fast.

Healthy Paws has been an absolute lifesaver. My 8 year old lab/pit mix still thinks she is a puppy and during a typical game of catch she tore her CCL. With TPLO surgery to follow, I was concerned about the bills adding up even with insurance as I had never had to file a claim over the first year of service. Healthy Paws has been remarkable. They are quick to service claims, the coverage has been exceptional, and the best part is that they have taken the time to check in on Briar throughout the surgery and recovery period. Healthy Paws truly provides an excellent customer experience. I highly recommend Healthy Paws to anyone who is considering pet insurance. It is well worth it!
