Easy claims. Great coverage
Basic coverage for our Poodle-something mix has been great at a reasonable monthly cost. Filing claims online is easy and reimbursement is quick.

Good To Be Back Home
When our dog joined our family, replacing one we had lost a year earlier, we found another pet insurance program and signed up. It wasn't because we were unhappy with Nationwide, which we used for our previous dog, and, to be honest, I don't really know why we didn't simply re-sign with Nationwide. After three months with the other company, we yearned for the experience we had with Nationwide. So we dropped the other company and resigned with Nationwide. You have once again lived up to our expectations; more importantly, you have lived up to the "promises" you make in your policy. Thank you, Nationwide.

Very Delayed Claim Processing Times
I have filed many claims thus far, and I have only had one smooth experience with Nationwide. Oftentimes, they request more information or specifics that I had already submitted. Not to mention, I have a claim that has taken nearly 2 months to process, and they have reached out letting me know it could take an additional 30 days. This prevents my dog from getting the care he needs because we cannot depend on our insurance to reimburse us in a timely matter or even give us updates in a timely matter. We are overall very disappointed.

It's nice to have some back up to pay the vet bills
Although there are still deductibles and co-pays, at least some of the vet bills are covered. My biggest complaint is that their claim forms don't allow for just "wellness" visits. My dogs are young and haven't had issues with injuries or illness. Just "wellness" visits for check ups and vaccinations.
