Other than Trupanion not paying for Beckham's pre-existing conditions, I am happy with the claims process. If you paid 90% of his pre-existing conditions, I would rate you a 10.

Submitting invoices through their website is super easy and the check comes within a couple of days. I also appreciated the email from Healthy Paws checking on my pet's wellness after her hospital stay.

Once again my claim was handled quickly and efficiently. I had a problem getting my claim through to Trupanion and after talking to Trupanion I was guided through the process and 2 days later my reimbursement was deposited in my bank account.

Trupanion has been exceptionally efficient, responsive and expeditious in reviewing, accessing and reimbursing me the calculated amount during what has been a long and stressful period putting my cat through cancer treatments.

Our senior pup had a rough couple of months with a fall down the stairs followed by a GI issue and then a terrible UTI. We filed claims with Nationwide throughout the various visits and provided the itemized vet bills. Very easy to submit claims either online or via fax, and they were all processed within a few days. Took about a week or so to get our payments, but that was fine, as they e-mailed us to keep us apprised of the claim status and where to find the explanation of benefits. All in, we probably spent over $1500 on vet bills from Christmas through mid-February, so having pet insurance proved extremely helpful. Nationwide have been very easy to work with, which took a big load off our minds.

I am very grateful for this coverage for my dogs. With all the advances in veterinary medicine over the last ten years, prices have risen accordingly. It's nice to have some help with the customary vaccinations, medications, and occasional illness, not to mention high ticket items like surgical procedures that can cost thousands of dollars. The insurance is well worth the money for the peace of mind you get knowing you can handle any emergency.

Would like a better explanation of OTC coverage for wellness.. e.g ear cleaner, flea collar,etc.
