My 12 year old Jack Russell was just diagnosed as a Diabetic. I took her to the vet because she stopped eating, was lethargic and didn't want to move or do anything that she normally did. she was diagnosed with Diabetic ketoacidosis. She had to stay at the hospital for 4 days straight. When I brought her in I was beside myself with worry, and when I saw the estimate of cost I was scared. Scared that I was going to have to make a decision that I was not prepared or ready to make. I've had her since she was 6 weeks old. To me she is my baby. And how can I say "put her down" because I can't afford the bill. That guilt would haunt me forever. Trupanion is the only pet health insurance that worked for me . They are honest , pleasant and really pay all the claims fast . I wouldn't be able to afford my Molly Mae treatments without it . I have no deductible so I always get paid 90% back deposited to my account . The claims are easy and I even send them using my iPhone . Thank you Trupanion !

We went to the vet Monday for our annual exam. We submitted the claim form on Tuesday and on Thursday I received an email that the claim was approved for reimbursement. Great service.

About4 years ago we had to put our wonderful, much loved German shepherd/husky to sleep because of cancer..he was 13 years old but because he was just like part of the family, we had decided to do whatever we could for him. They did surgery on him which cost us 4,000 out of pocket and even though we held out hope, he only lived 3 months more after the surgery.We were aware that it may not cure him, but we had to try.One year later we adopted a dog out of the aspca who was only 3 months old.
