My 2 year old German Shepherd decided to eat a nerf bat and of course he needed emergency surgery to remove it. VPI paid the claim within a couple of weeks of me submitting the claim. I'm so happy I decided to get him insured! VPI covered exactly what was in my policy. Now years later, he has developed epilepsy. A 2 day stay in the hospital, neurologist bill, tests and meds was $1,400. I only wish the maximum benefit for epilepsy was higher than $300. His meds run that much for a month supply! Overall, I am very pleased with the service.

Pets Best has always been there for me during the lifespan of my 2 previous cats' chronic illnesses, and now the same with our 2 dogs. I like that they continue to cover ongoing treatments. Also, the new claims submission process is much easier. Good all around.

Our EmmyLou was diagnosed with a Mast Cell Tumor in March but following three surgeries, monthly follow-up visits, and ongoing chemotherapy, she is doing very well. With all the stress related to Emmy's condition, it has been comforting to know that Trupanion has been there for us. I am very pleased with the quick and frequently "same-day" response I receive each time I file a claim on Emmy's behalf. I couldn't ask for better service. The only thing I would suggest is that maybe the Trupanion staff could in-service those handling health insurance for humans on how to improve their services. One can only hope!

My little dog does not get sick too often (thank the Lord) but when she has gotten sick, they have been so helpful immediately. She had an accident and got all four metacarpal bones in her right front paw broken. What a relief Trupanion's assistance has been. I have had to send in two claims for this so far and both times they have processed and mailed me a check within just a few hours of my submitting it to them. They are absolutely wonderful and so very compassionate with my feelings when Hannah first got hurt and all through this rough time. Thank you Trupanion for being there. Having you as my insurance company has really eased my mind of the financial burdens I have now with the vet bills adding up. Just love ya!!!

Our puppy (Tessa) is now 3 1/2 yrs old. Fortunately we decided when Tessa was but a few months old to secure insurance. We researched numerous insurance companies but we kept returning to Trupanion. The final decision was in part influenced by our Vet. Needless to say, Tessa now has a vet. file in fact two files since the first one was full. Our bills have been in the thousands and with the exclusion of bills for office visits, Trupanion has honored payment for EVERY INVOICE (90%). Yesterday we had Tessa to our Vet for a check up. During the Drs. visit, our Vet commented on Trupanion. Noting, her experience with other insurance companies has been less then desirable given the delays in bill processing and the on going request for additional information. She could not say enough about Trupanion as compared to the other insurance companies. Now would anyone in our position with a sick puppy and the great experience we have had with Trupanion rate your performance less than acceptable, I don't think so. But as important as the honoring of invoices is, the professional treatment we receive every time we call is exceptional. What more could we ask for? My wife and I thank you.

When my 8 year old Wheaten started showing signs of a nasal tumor and then started having seizures, I was consumed with worry.
