After filling out the claim form (which is very direct and simple) and mailing in the claim I received an email response within a few days that the claim was receiced. A few days later the claim was reviewed and settled.The short time between sending in my claim and settlement was just about 2 weeks! Enormously pleased.

Trupanion has been more informative & compassionate than my own health ins. The coverage was unbelievable. Thank God I had the stem cell coverage. Although Lena is still in recovery stage. It was less intrusive than major hip surgery. My vet Pleasant Plaines hospital & the Surgen & cannot forget the staff were wonderful. I recommend Trupanoom to all my pet friends. Wish you had horse ins also. Lena is doing great only after 1 week of knee surgery & stem cell procedure. All large breed pet owners should consider having trupanion. No one wants to make that decision of what to do if that time comes. Lena & I thank all who were involved.

I have had Healthy Paws Pet Insurance for my German Shepherd, Riley, since she was three months old. I can honestly say that it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. The customer service is outstanding with the employees of Healthy Paws being the most knowledgeable, friendly and professional people I have ever had to deal with. Riley just needed major knee and leg surgery and Healthy Paws processed my claim in a fast and efficient manner. I was so thankful to have this insurance as this surgery was so expensive (almost $5000!). It is nice to have the piece of mind knowing that Riley is covered by Healthy Paws. I highly recommend this insurance to all pet owners!

I have found the service to be dependable and accurate in meeting the claims submitted. If anything a slightly shorter turn around time for claims would make for a perfect rating.

Our 5 year old dog, Matt, had an obstruction in his stomach which required surgery. He was hospitalized and was very weak and unable to eat. We spent almost a whole weekend at the hospital with him and he was released a few days later. I called Healthy Paws to let them know about our situation and spoke with Leslie who was extremely professional and compassionate. She said she would look out for our claim which was several thousands of dollars. The claim was processed efficiently within 10 days as mentioned. I'm pleased to say Matt is back to his energetic self and our family is thrilled to see him eating and playing again. The story doesn't end there - Tim from Healthy Paws checked in recently to see how Matt was doing. This company goes beyond what you would expect - to be contacted by the insurance company and not the hospital that performed the surgery to check on Matt's well-being is quite something.They are professional, compassionate and have great customer service that is courteous,clear, accessible and gives reliable information. All issues involving non-payment of Semi's bills have been resolved. I have to say that the representatives, including Geraldine, have gone out of their way to expedite payment of all claims ( which were quite modest) given the extensive testing Semi received. Geraldine called my home today to inquire about Semi, who was finally diagnosed with an allergy of unknown origin and who is completing a course of prednisone and is now on a very expensive Hypoallergenic Prescription diet (along with my other three cats, as they share a food bowl.) My suggestion is that all pet owners take home copies of the vet's notes so that they can be faxed or e-mailed along with the claim. If the pet has been treated in the last 18 months, these notes should also be included. It is disappointing that Pets Best does not cover prescription foods. Semi (and her cat friends) are now on Royal Canin HP, which costs $56.00 for a 7.7 pound bag and $115.00 (with vet discount) for a 17 pound bag.

I would highly recommend your insurance plan to friends and family. I have already done this on several occasions.
