The absolute best insurance we could ever have!
We have a Vizsla who loves to swallow things he shouldn't. He is 6 years old and has had 3 surgeries . Trupanion was right there the whole way. Never once a problem..and always very kind! I recommend them to everyone I know...and will never have another pet without having the peace of mind knowing we have Trupanion. Thank you Trupanion....

Very happy with my coverage!
Our dog came close to dying back in July. If it weren't for a couple of very good doctors he would no longer be here. We had to take him to a special vet group, and luckily they found the problem. Surgery was required and things got very expensive, but the care he got was worth it and he's better than ever. ASPCA made what would have been a very big financial hit an affordable one. They reimbursed us very quickly.

Very quick and courteous service.
My dog had a luxating patella, which basically means their knee would pop out of place.
Without any notice to Healthy Paws, I had the surgery done and paid everything up front. Upon payment, I asked my doctor to forward all medical records to Healthy Paws. I then submitted a claim with a short description. I called Healthy Paws just to make sure they received everything, which they did. About a little over a week later (this was my first claim), they approved the claim and sent out the reimbursement checks exactly as promised. They even wrote me a follow up e-mail later checking on the status and health of my dog.
The service was extremely fast, painless, and courteous. I was expecting to have to overcome some obstacles being that I did not notify them that I was going to have the surgery, but none were presented. The process to submit the claim was also extremely easy. There was no need to fill out any long forms. I just took a picture of the receipts and sent it through the mobile app.
I'd highly recommend them to anyone and everyone.

Awesome Support and speed of claim processing
Tyreese was lethargic and not eating. Vet ran tests, his liver enzymes were very high. His liver was not working well if at all. Antibiotics and fluids over almost 2 weeks and Tyreese had much more normal liver enzymes in blood tests. Ty is doing great now.My claim was handled quickly online and credited to my bank account. A follow up call to ensure Ty was ok and all was satisfactory was made today.
Great company and employees. Just what is needed when a loved member of the family has been ill

Wonderful, Hassle-Free, Caring Experience
We have been with Healthy Paws just over a year and have had to submit a couple claims in that time frame. First, the claim process couldn't be easier. I submitted one brief form with receipt and received email confirmation that it was being processed. Second, the claim was processed within a few days and exactly as promised with no "fine print" exclusions. The check was in the bank before the incisions fully healed. Third, I truly appreciated the caring follow up email from the company asking about my pet's recovery. Just made me feel good about the attention to customer service. Overall, would highly recommend!

Genuine, Reliable, Trusted, Efficient,
Our 4 month old Golden Doodle "Chompx" suffered kidney failure. He was hospitalized in ICU for 2 weeks before being transferred to UF for dialysis. The bill was approximately $18k. Within hours of his discharge from the first hospital I had an email from Healthy Paws closing out the claim and confirming that a check for 90% - our deductible was on the way. Throughout this process, HP has checked in on Chompx, and shown genuine concern for our little man. When we were first told he was to be hospitalized, HP offered support and told us just to focus on Chompx. That was such a relief. I expected there would be issues with reimbursement, that seems to be the issue with all insurance companies.. there was no issue, no fuss, no drama. I had the reimbursement check within days! Afterwards, they emailed to check on Chompx as well. Throughout this nightmare, they have shown genuine concern for Chompx and they have taken the biggest burden off our minds as we focus on Chompx's recovery. Simple, flawless, expedited reimbursement for your pet's medical needs. Finally a pet insurance that actually does what it says. I've never had a dog with any serious medical issue such as this, I never thought I'd need this, but I am so glad we had it. I will never risk being without Healthy Paws pet insurance again, because no matter how careful you are, anything can happen. Throughout this journey with Chompx, we have seen countless owners forced into making a very painful decision based on finances alone. It's been heartbreaking to see that time after time, as our nightmare is ongoing (more than a month). Whatever happens with Chompx, we know that we've been fortunate to provide him absolutely every possible chance for a full recovery and without Healthy Paws, he would not have had that luxury. Healthy Paws has been and continues to be the only silver lining in our nightmare.

Just what they promised, plus good customer servic
We have had Embrace coverage on our two dogs for 4+ years now; the dogs are young and healthy but do get into trouble now and then. Embrace covers all they say they will, plus has prompt claim resolution and excellent customer service.

Payment Policy
The coverage seems fair, and competitive with other plans.
But, buyer beware, they only accept automatic deduction payments from your checking account or from a credit card, and they offer NO way to change the date of the auto-deduct. If you call Customer Service (even with plenty of time ahead of your payment date), they will advise that the day of the month that you started your policy will forever be your auto-deduct date. NO exceptions, and there is NO way to request another date instead. So, if your auto-deduct is on the 3rd of the month, and that is hard for you to manage with rent, etc., there is no way to request the auto-deduct at a different time in the month.
Currently, I feel TRAPPED. I explained that due to a medical emergency, my funds were a little low, but with my next paycheck, I can easily cover the premium amount. All I asked for was a 2-day delay of payment. I was told this is impossible.
That does not convey good customer service to me, and may be something you want to consider when comparing plans.

poor customer service and long response time
I submitted a claim a month ago and I am still waiting for a determination if the claim will be accepted and a reimbursement. When I originally enrolled, I provided all the medical history I had from the adoption agency and my first vet visit, however when I needed to file my first claim, Embrace claimed they needed to request the medical history from my vet for three and a half weeks now. My claim was for an injury related to a fall, so I don't know how a medical history would have any impact on that claim. Not like there is a preexisting condition possibility. The customer service reps I have dealt with via email and phone calls have not been helpful and have blamed my vet. I've had other claims for my other dog that went very smoothly, and I have even recommended Embrace to other people, so I'm not sure if there was a recent change at Embrace but I am not happy. If I had this experience first I would have cancelled the insurance and not insured another dog.
