Really bad experience.
This experience was really bad. My claim was deined at first because there was not enough medical history. Then it was denied because the services rendered were before the beginning of my coverage period, which was NOT TRUE since I received reimbursement for a claim just 4 months prior to that. Not sure if this is because it's a new business or if it's another case of insurance companies simply wanting to receive money but not send any out of they can help it. I really expected better from a company calling itself "EMBRACE". I have absolutely not felt embraced.

Polite rep ... but to get connected to a rep is far to long - waste of time sitting on hold

Embrace is a Great Canine Insurance Company
My Golden Retriever was diagnosed with a fibrous cancerous tumor on one of his toes. I submitted a pre-certification for amputation of the digit and had approval within 2 days for the surgery. Surgery was performed on 1/19/16 and my refund was in my bank account in less than a week's time. Also, Embrace contacted me a couple days after surgery to follow up and see how both my Golden and I were doing. I can't say enough about how much Embrace insurance means to me. I have had them for close to 10 years for two different Golden Retrievers and they have always been the best and have always come through quickly with my refund every time I submitted a claim. It's too bad human health insurance can't be more like them.

Happy Dog - Happy Pet Parents.
We adopted Charlie on Christmas Day after fostering him for a week. Being 3.5 years old we didn't know his history but knew he had been in and out of the shelter a few times over his life. I thought to get pet insurance because my girlfriends pitt had just cost her $3,000 in a tummy operation to remove a small dog sized tennis ball.
I narrowed it down to a few different companies but the app sold me with Healthy Paws. I literally just take a photo of the vet bill, they get ahold of the vet for more information (I had to do connect them the first time but now it seems to be all smoothed out), and they print the cheques and send them in the mail.
Downsides are they don't pay the vet fee, for us was $50 the first time and $29 for follow ups. But my coverage is 90 percent, with a $200 annual deductible and I only pay $31 a month. I'm lucky I got this because shortly after the 15 day waiting period Charlie started throwing up 3x a day. Turns out he ate a toy and what do you know, $4,000 later... Thankfully we get 90% back and we couldn't have afforded that without Healthy Paws!

Doggy Falls & Recovers
My little (11.2 lb) doggy fell off the back of the couch landing on a marble window sill and then down onto the tile floor. I went to move the couch and there she was behind me smiling and looking up at me. The following evening I had her in the emergency room. About 1 1/2 weeks later I was having to discuss putting her to sleep with the Vet. With medication, care, love, and prayers my "Little Puppy" is getting back to semi-normal. Trupanion was fantastic in their attentiveness, handling and phone discussions (I think I actually heard the Trupanion person crying a little also). Brandy and I are on out way back to a normal.

Pets Best is the Best!!!
Ziggy (my Bouvier) was just recently diagnosed with B-cell Lymphoma. He is only 5 1/2 yrs old. I have decided along with my Canine Oncologist to put him on a chemo protocol designed by Madison Wisconsin oncologists. Pets Best Insurance has been superb handling my claims regarding this protocol. On occasion when I speak with them I always come away with the impression that they really care about your animals and want to see them get well.

Good insurance plans.
Embrace was very helpful and nice about any questions I asked. I have an older cat so I was very thankful I could get some type of insurance on her to help with bills should she ever become ill. Because I believe in doing everything I can to help my cat, as long as I can pay for it!Thanks Embrace,
