There is never a payout - always some reason why they wont
i have had pets best for 5 years now and we have tried a few claims though the years for our pooch. from injuries to cleanings...always a reason for them to decline - not one claim has ever been paid.
I am cancelling and finding a new provider, would recommend avoiding them as they are a scam.

It is what it is
First issue was during my renewal period I was not able to increase coverage. No one could tell me exactly why that was. Then today on October 3rd calling to speak to a manger about a claim. 1st rep stated, I would not not be able to see what I uploaded because once the claim is closed the documents are removed. I asked for someone that could help me and was told a manager would not be available until tomorrow morning, you will need to submit a new claim. 2nd rep stated the best she can do is have a manager call you back in 48hrs . Finally when I called back selected the option to cancel the policy and then I received a customer rep and requested to make a complaint we only have manager call you back. This is our process. Great so if it is the process then why wasn't it announced when I signed up for the policy . The terms are very clear as to what would or would not be paid so why isn't the lack of management or customer service.

Our young dog generated some large vet bills
Cannot speak highly enough of Trupanion. As mentioned, our young dog started generating some large bills to treat conditions that were not easily identified (lots of tests/meds looking to treat symptoms but not part of a chronic diagnosis). Weird stuff that was expensive.
Trupanion has been there exactly as they represented they would be and we are very grateful. Filing a claim is easy and processing time is fast (within 2-3 days on most recent one).

best prices and most coverage
We were looking online for insurance for our new puppy that was reasonable and comprehensive. Puppies can get into trouble so we wanted to be covered for accidents and for the remote possibility of future health issues. No insurance company will cover pre-existing health conditions so best to have insurance before any health issues arise down the way. Furkin delivered with a lower deductible than other companies for the same amount or even more coverage! Best prices and most coverage. Itâs good to know our little goofy floof is protected.
