Nationwide is definitely on your side.
This policy works like a charm. It’s very easy and my recommendation is to communicate with your veterinarian receptionist and submit them a blank copy of your standard claim form that’s accompanied with your policy. That way it’s on file and ask them to submit any visits for any reason for peace of mind. You never know what might possibly be covered and Nationwide will contact them directly if there is any questions about your visit you are making a claim on. There are other methods that you can utilize and take more control but I have found if you communicate with your Vet and they know you have pet insurance and it’s vital that you need very precise information about your visit it works way more smoothly when they understand and fill out a claim form for your pet.

You all are really good at finding ways to not pay anything for our dog's health expenses.
You all are really good at finding ways to not pay anything for our dog's health expenses. You don't really provide any value. If we had set aside all of the premiums in a savings account we would have been better off. I think your service borders on being a scam, but because you have your fine print you can get away with not paying. Once my dog dies, I will cease doing business with you all. We had a similar experience with another insurance company and were hoping it would be different with you guys. It's just more of the same.

Fast claims processing
We sometimes complain about the amount we pay for insurance and I agree, it is expensive but if I didn't have it just a few weeks ago, I would have lost my dog Kaos. She had eaten a small stuffed toy, first time EVER, and she would have died if I didn't have the reassurance that I would get some, if not almost all, of the monies back from my policy. $3500 later and with surgery complete, she is perfect today and I am super happy that the claim was processed quickly and without delay. Thank you.

Not enough reimbursement for older dogs, extreme increase in premium price when your beloved dog needs the most care .
We have been pretty satisfied with our insurance while our dogs were younger, but the increase in the new premium for our dog turning 15 years old this year has left us speechless and disappointed. The minimal reimbursement for his ongoing conditions is unacceptable. Also, the reimbursement for the ACL surgery of our younger whippet was extremely low, and the $0 allowance for the physical therapy he needed very unfair. We will have paid over $ 54,000 for both of our dogs over the 15 years of their lives, and we were hoping for more allowance from Nationwide as they age. We will discontinue coverage and place the premium amounts on a savings account for the next 5 or 6 years. Live and learn!
