This was the first time I've had a claim denied, and it was handled clearly and professionally. Trupanion truly always delivers on the service front -- and the coverage is damn good too. My boyfriend and I rescued a 4 month old puppy in June. A friend, who is a Veterinarian recommend insurance and I wasn’t sold on the idea then. As our puppy got used to living with us, we noticed she would eat almost anything off of the ground. I was worried she would eventually eat something bad and we’d be stuck with a hefty vet bill, so I bought Trupanion as a precaution. A month later we came to find out our puppy had a life threatening heart condition with an unknown cause and ended up racking up almost 10 grand in vet bills trying to save her and give her a good quality of life. Unfortunately, we ran out of options to medically treat our puppy and we had to say goodbye to her after only having her for 3 months. Trupanion was the reason we were able to have another precious 2 months with our little baby. As someone who started off skeptical of pet insurance, I would recommend this insurance to all pet owners. Trupanion was professional and prompt with all services and claims. We appreciate all they did for us.
