Peace Of Mind!
Our insurance with Embrace for our Miniature Poodle, Enzo, has paid for itself many times over. Our claims for Enzo have been reimbursed in a timely manner. The staff at Embrace has been a pleasure to deal with regarding any matter, and we are more than satisfied with Embrace as our insurer for our beloved dogs. Today, medical care for our animals rivals that of people, and insurance is truly becoming a necessity if you choose to own a pet and provide it with the best care possible. Embrace has made it an easy choice for us as to which provider to use!

Terrible Since Nationwide Bought Them
I was a customer with VIP insurance for years. Then, Nationwide took it over. They are terrible. They deny claims on the smallest pretext. For my latest claim, they denied coverage for a fecal exam that was necessary to determine why my dog had diarrhea. They claimed that "wellness" procedures are not covered under the policy. When I explained to them that this procedure was not done as part of a routine exam but was necessary to determine why he was sick, they would not budge. It's the most rediculous reasoning I've ever heard from an insurance company -- and I used to work for one. The total bill was $260, of which they paid $48. In the meantime, my premiums are over $900 a year. DON'T BUY THIS INSURANCE! You'd be better off saving money in an interest-bearing account and using it when your pet gets sick.

Made a difficult situation much less stressful!
Healthy paws truly cares for their clients. I was unsure what my options were when my not even two year old pit bull mastiff was diagnosed with medial patellar luxation--a congenital condition which needs an expensive surgery to correct. They were very easy to communicate with as well as answer any questions and what if scenarios. It's always a speedy process for claims with no issues.

I Thought That The Prescriptio…
I thought that the prescription would be covered considering that it was given for the emergency situation, it should not be considered routine...

Do not recommend this insurance
When purchasing the insurance, pre-existing conditions were discussed. I was not informed that on the anniversary of a policy, everything becomes pre-existing. Therefore, nothing you had a claim on prior to the anniversary is covered by the insurance. Only new issues are covered. My mistake - trusting the conversation and not reading the very fine print.
There are other pet insurances available, at the same price or less, consider issues that occur when covered are always covered, not just for the number of days left in your current year coverage. What a rip-off.

Mega-impressed with this company!
What an AMAZING experience with this company!!! After my last two dogs had major health issues without insurance coverage, decided that I would purchase health insurance for my next pup. I researched and decided to go with Healthy Paws as a result of the scores of great reviews that I read about them...just like the one that I'm now leaving! My two-year-old pup came down with a severe bloody gastritis which required three days in hospital, IV fluids, meds, followup visit, and on and on to the tune of over $2,000. Once I submitted my bills (easily, I might add, by taking picture of them with my IPhone and submitting them thru their app), I promptly received reimbursement checks. I had chosen the $250 annual deductible and 90% coverage and true to their policy, that's what I got. The only thing they didn't cover was the vet's initial charge for visit. There are no cons of any kind with this company in my experience. I am telling all my friends and the different vets that I know about them.

Ten more years of love!
After removing a Mast Cell Tumor we were told by vet that all margins clear, we got it all. Even though surgery, which Embrace covered, was deemed successful, vet asked if I wanted to send off tissue for further analysis. Most folks would not have done that but since I have Embrace I said why not. Well results came back very scary-very aggressive form of cancer with a 8 shot chemo protocol recommended. Only because I have Embrace which basically said when we cover the original diagnosis we cover EVERYTHING that's needed for recovery, our 4 year old white Lab Bella has a better than 90% chance of another good 10 years with us.
Thanks Embrace!!!
