I am so surprised that all of my dealings with Nationwide Pet Insurance have been so easy. I have filed 3 claims and received 2 checks. I am so happy that of all my choices that I chose Nationwide.

We adopted Roxy, a female mastiff, in June of 2018. The rescue recommended we get pet insurance. Roxy has since been through surgery for ligament tears on both her right and left hind legs: Surgery on the right hind leg performed in Dec. 2018 and then a second surgery performed in March 2019 on the left hind leg. Each surgery cost just under $5,000 after all the follow up and PT visits. Nationwide Pet Insurance enabled us to afford to help Roxy - I don't know what we would have done with out it. Roxy is now like the bionic dog, stronger and faster then she was before! Thank you Nationwide!

I like how easy it is to submit claims and get reimbursed. It is also very nice to receive emails from them checking in on how our baby is doing.

I have Healthy Paws insurance for all 3 of my animals. Only last year did I have to actually file a claim, and since then I am not sure what I would have done without them. My cat went into heart failure and was diagnosed with a progressive heart disease requiring daily medications, blood work every 3 months, and repeat echocardiograms. None of that is cheap but it is necessary to give my cat the best chance at a comfortable life for as long as possible. I submitted my first claim after owning her for 4 years so there was a lot of medical records to go through. It took roughly a week to review and have my first claim approved, but the company kept in touch and kept me updated on the progress. After that, it was so easy to take a picture of my invoices and submit a claim on my phone via the app. Reimbursement would arrive within days directly in my bank account. I absolutely recommend Healthy Paws to anyone interested in pet insurance (and I highly recommend pet insurance in general!). They have been so incredibly helpful and quick to respond, and they have made the whole process super efficient. I am so grateful that I don't have to worry about whether I can afford lifesaving care for my pet thanks to them.

My dog has had Healthy Paws insurance since we got him 6 years ago. He has a serious seizure disorder and inflammatory bowel disease which thanks to Healthy Paws and his Vet, Vet Neurologist and Vet Internist he lives a very happy life! He is on 25 pills every day and you would never know it. Healthy Paws covers all his medication and tests including endoscopy, MRI, ER visits with overnight stays, and operations.

I've been a dog owner for 50 years and believe that, like people, our pets encounter health issues that need attending and at times the costs prohibit people from caring for their animals. Having used pet insurance for my animals, Healthy Paws is by far the best company! Unlike past experiences with other companies for major surgeries, Healthy Paws does not "find a way" to not cover expenses. The policy is very straightforward with no hidden verbiage. We are extremely pleased not only with their expediency but how many insurance companies actually email you two weeks post-op to ask how your pet is doing?! This company is simply awesome!

While seeing premiums increase as your pet gets older can be a little exasperating, the truth is having that 90% return when your dog DOES need to go in can be a life saver! A much-needed teeth clean can cost over $1,000.00 but I ended up going most of it back so it was all worth it. And please get insurance asap! The younger they are, the premium hit is very doable per month and the coverage is pretty extensive. I have all 3 of my pets on Nationwide and with the multi pet discount as well, it's a great deal!
