I was skeptical due to reading pet insurance reviews in general. I have been an embrace customer for about 4 years but luckily had never had to file a claim. A few weeks ago my nearly 9 year old lab mix and canine love of my life got seriously ill. I had to take him to the hospital at 3 in the morning and he spent the day in doggie ICU, and another day at the hospital. Thankfully he has fully recovered but it was such a comfort that my only concern was making him better. I only have a basic plan but it made the vet bill manageable. Thank you Embrace.

I have four Great Danes and anyone with large animals and/or multiple pets knows it is not cheap to keep them healthy. Recently one of my dogs broke a toe and we had to decide which course of treatment would be the best...splint or amputation. I called Nation Wide to find out what coverage I had, and while the Service Rep. could not offer a pre-authorization, she was able to go over my options with me, and let me know how much each service was allowed. This helped me to decide the best treatment to get my boy back on his feet. And submitting a claim is so easy. I can do it through an email and usually within 14-30 days the money is sent right to my bank account. I have been with Nation Wide for 10 years, since they were VPI, and I sleep better at night knowing that when things do happen...and they will...I can chose an option that is not just because it is the cheapest, but because it is the best choice for me and my fur-babies.

I prefer submitting my claims by US mail and I get a quick acknowledgment that you’ve received it. Three plus weeks to receive reimbursement may seem a long time to most but I don’t use electronic funds transfers and the time it takes a check to reach me is quite satisfactory.

Nationwide Pet Insurance is only as good as the person on the other end of the telephone and when you call for anything they are the most helpful and professional people you could ever want to encounter. If only my local physician or hospital was a detailed, friendly and prompt as the Nationwide team. My little havanese dog , Carlos, has had Healthy Paws Pet Insurance since 2012 with 90% reimbursement coverage. I have had to submit a few claims here and there (digestive issues, blood tests, x-rays, stomach bugs) and never had an issue with prompt reimbursement and excellent Customer Service. What has really made me want to rave about them is my dog was in need of emergency surgery a month ago after a vicious dog attack. I was beside myself with stress and worry, but Healthy Paws reimbursed me within one week over $4,000 and followed up to check on Carlos.
