Worth the money, quick to reimburse
Every time I have called to ask a question, the staff have been amazing. No long wait times to speak to a human. No excessive hoops to jump through to talk to someone. This is one of the best decisions I've ever made. Especially for a senior animal or very young animal. The only thing that would make this better (and I know it would be almost impossible to do) would be that you dont' have to pay it all up front and then get reimbursed. That's hard and vets are not as willing to give out prompt estimates of cost.

Very pleased with aspca health insurance for my dog.
Quick to take care of my claim. All communications with them are courteous and answer all my questions. They call to make sure everything is resolved to my satisfaction.

Something you wish you had
My veterinarian suggested pet insurance after my less than 2 year old Vizsla went in for her second bowel obstruction in a 4 month time span. I researched the numerous ones on the internet and decided to go with ASPCA. For a couple of years, there were no doctor visits yet still had the peace of mind of having it. Automatic renewal is a plus as well. Recently I had to use it twice for a barbed wire accident and an eye issue. It was incredibly easy to fill out the claims and within a week, I was reimbursed. Plus their staff loves pets and get to bring them to work. How cool is that!

Thumbs ALL the way up!
I have had nothing but the best experience with Healthy Paws. I actually came from a different pet insurance that wouldn't cover anything. Healthy Paws has been there with me every step of the way and always around to answer questions. I am one of the "lucky" owners that has had an orthopedic nightmare of a dog and Healthy Paws has been right by my side. I would never change to a different pet insurance and tell all my friends about how easy Healthy Paws has made a very stressful event. Thank you Healthy Paws!

Poster Child For Pet Insurance
Our poor golden retriever has had such a tough year! She has had to have 3 surgeries, two of them major, in the last 5 months. I can't say enough about the service we have had from Embrace - they have processed the claims we've sent in quickly and have provided coverage for everything. What a relief this has been during such a difficult time. We have now had pet insurance for our dogs for 9 years and we tell all pet parents we know what a good investment it is! You happen - sometimes in bunches like it did for us this year.

Excellent service during a really trying time
Our 11.5 year old golden retriever developed primary hyperparathyroidism, which required us to travel for her to receive specialized treatment and surgery. We were so worried for her - she is older and though the surgery is pretty straight forward, the post-surgical phase can be quite complicated to manage and required ICU hospitalization. Embrace did an awesome job handling our claim! We sent in all the paperwork at the end of the treatment and everything was covered. All told the imaging and blood work necessary to diagnose, the surgery, and all the post-surgical monitoring - close to $5000 - was all covered. I have to say that we have had pet insurance for 8 years for our dogs (we did have 2 dogs - one has since passed away from cancer) and more years than not we have sincerely felt like it has been a solid investment. We don't make vetting decisions based on what is or is not covered by insurance, but it definitely helps offset costs associated with providing care to our beloved pets.

Easy to work with
The claim form is simple to fill out & submit. Trupanion keeps me updated about the process and when the check is on its way.

Hassle free coverage; they give what they promise
I have had Trupanion for ~ 8 months to cover my Great Dane. Given what I was going to pay for him and the various things he could be prone to, I felt like insurance was prudent. I did an absolute ton of research into all of the major companies. I weighed all of the pros/cons -- there's no one company that's perfect (example: I really wish Trupanion had some form of coverage for at least a portion of the exam), but for what I needed Trupanion seemed best. I was amazed at how for each and every company (to include Trupanion), there were reviews that said they were absolutely fantastic and others that said they'd rather lose their right arm than go with this company again. I can honestly say that thus far, my experience has been perfect. I have a zero deductible plan. I go to the vet and pay my bill. My vet submits the claim to Trupanion for me (the claim form takes about 10 seconds to fill out) and voila: a check for 90% of what's covered arrives in the mail. No hassles, questions, resubmissions or attempts to hide behind tricky language so as not to pay. I get an email to say they've received my claim and another that says the check's on the way. I've probably submitted 5-6 claims thus far and have yet to have a problem. I can honestly say I've been very satisfied. Even their phone people were nice when I called
