People would go to see a doctor, ANY doctor!! if they had to pay for EVERYTHING up front and HOPE that they got MOST of the money that it cost them for the OV, lab, possibly X-rays and everything else paid back to them in........... a MONTH, MAYBE 2, MAYBE NEVER!!! looking at the prices of dog health insurance.. at least for my wallet! it'd be a LOT better AND CHEAPER for me to keep the same amount of money, each month in a safe place at home!! so after just a few, say 6 months with an already healthy dog. I'd have the money at hand for a common vet bill!! an average of $73. a month adds up FAST!!

I’m really impressed with Met Life Their customer service is extremely helpful Fairly easy to file a claim but a little slow in processing it Over all I will continue insuring my baby with Met Life

I have a 2.5 year old American Bully Mix. I recused his mom when she was dumped in the park pregnant. My boy Kong had a seizure in my yard a motor seizure that turned into a Grand Mal. It lasted several minutes . When taking to the vet to see what we do & what happened we did blood , urine , sppinal tap , & MRI. Started out affordable, then raised rates by double or triple each year up to over 2300$ a month for one dog. Started hassling about claims, blatantly said they didn't want to pay that much any more.

I cannot say enough good things about Healthy Paws. They have been awesome, and I have to commend this company and all of its' team members for their caring, compassion and processing of claims in such an expeditious manner. One of the reasons I chose this company is because they have no maximum limits on any single condition, reimburse you based on your actual veterinary bill and cover congenital and hereditary conditions as long as they were not pre-existing prior to coverage. My Frenchie recently had eye surgery and having the insurance made it so much easier to have one less worry and allow me to focus on her and her recovery without worrying about the cost. They processed the claim within two days which is incredible, and the funds were in my account in no time. In addition, they reached out to see how she was progressing after her surgery. I am truly beyond impressed and would never ever consider another insurance company for my fur babies. Thank you, Healthy Paws!!

So, my dog ​​has been insured for almost 11 years now and at the beginning I paid $34, now I have to pay $216, it's terrible, I pay more for my dog ​​than for myself. I have the 80/20 plan.

Coming from another insurance company, the claim process is as easy however I found I was not able to leave any explanation or comment. Also, there were no instructions for how to receive payment. On my previous company's claim site, everything was right there from the beginning. By not having a place for explanation/comment, I feel I will have to guide my veterinarian on how to comment as the practice is extremely busy and sometimes the vet notes are not as descriptive as necessary.
